NFL Sunday – Week 8

34-27-3 on NFL up 23.95 units

Eagles -4 for 2 units. Jaguars have looked awful. Philly will come out hot after blowing last week’s game vs the Panthers. Jags are missing a lot of their corners. Zach Ertz and Alshon Jeffrey are going to eat.

Bengals at -184 for 6 units. Buccaneers won’t be able to stop Green, Boyd, and Dalton. Bucs only have 1 interception on the season. Giovanni Bernard and John Ross being out hurts the Bengals a little, but I still like them here. Tampa Bay’s offensive line is why I am betting the Bengals so big. I think Cincy will be able to get enough pressure here on Crab Legs.

Colts -3 for 3 units. Raiders are bad.

Jets +10 for 2 units. Too much value. Bouncback game for Jets. Let down game for Bears.

Soccer Saturday – October 27th

47-32-5 on Soccer since World Cup up 23.43 units

Dortmund at -200 for 2 units. Hottest team in Europe. Ondrej Duda has been sensational for Hertha Berlin to start their season. Dortmund and Berlin have allowed 8 goals this season, but Borussia has scored more than twice as many as Berlin.

Watford at -133 for 1 unit. Huddersfield only have 4 goals on the season and Watford has a lot of attacking talent. Watford and Troy Deeney get back to their winning ways at home here. Troy hasn’t scored in his last 3 games. Watford hasn’t won in their last 2 home games.

Juventus at -335 for 2 units. Juve looked solid midweek and will carry it over here. Juventus drew to Genoa last time out in the league. They will want to win here as they are only 4 points ahead of Napoli even though Juve hasn’t lost this season.

Atletico Madrid -1 at -110 for 3 units. Atletico got embarrassed in a way in Dortmund. It was Diego Simeone’s biggest defeat with the club. I predict that Atletico will get a lot of corners and a clean sheet here on their way to victory.

College Football Week 9

27-22 on college football up 3.18 units

Vanderbilt +1 for 1 unit. Vandy is a better team than Arkansas.

Virginia at -325 for 3 units. UNC is not good this season. UVA is above average.

Duke -2.5 for 8 units. Duke is 3-0 on the road this year. They are going for bowl-eligibility with this win. Daniel Jones will do enough to cover this small line. Pittsburgh commits a lot of penalties and is soft against the run. I like Duke to take advantage in those areas. The Blue Devils have lost to Pittsburgh the past 3 times and Duke seniors will want this win. Duke has a lot of injures, but my prediction is they win in what could turn into a high-scoring game.

Syracuse +2 for 3 units. NC State let down game after getting up for Clemson and getting beat. Eric Dungey and Tommy DeVito will both prolly play in this one for Syracuse. Syracuse is hasn’t lost at home this season. Syracuse going for a bowl appearance here, which they have not done in a few years. They are the better team statistically so I am going to take the points.

Tennis – Swiss Indoors and Vienna Open Semis

Daniil Medvedev at +235 for 2 units. Federer has not looked his best this week in Basel. Daniil is currently sitting at a career high ranking and will fancy his chances. Medvedev is 18-4 on indoor hardcourts this season. Roger is working himself back into top fitness and will struggle in this one. I like the value here even though Medvedev is 1-7 against the top 10 in his career.

Kevin Anderson at -203 for 2 units. Fernando Verdasco has won the last two meetings between these two, but Anderson has been playing better tennis this year. Anderson should get enough easy points off of his serve to win this one. The South African should be fresher as well. Anderson has a good chance here to get his first title since February.

Football

NFL – If You Thought Monday’s Matchup Was Sexy – Dolphins at Texans

Texans at -345 for 3 units. Brock can’t win unless he plays the Bears.

Texans/Dolphins under 45 for 2 units. Houston’s defense will not let Miami get any big plays, especially without Albert Wilson. I expect an ugly game. The Dolphins average only 21 points a game and I don’t think they reach that here. The Texans offensive line is just bad enough for Miami to get some sacks. I can’t see Miami’s offense moving the ball well. Miami’s defense gives up 25 points a game, but those numbers are slightly inflated because of the Patriots. I see this game ending at around 24-17.

Soccer

Soccer October 25th – Europa League

45-32-5 on Soccer since World Cup up 22.87 units

Eintracht Frankfurt at -244 for 4 units. Luka Jovic had 5 goals last time out and became the youngest player to ever score 5 goals in a Bundesliga game. Glad I bet the over in that one. Frankfurt will score goals again here. Apollon does not have the talent going forward that Frankfurt has displayed this season.

Arsenal at -104 for 2 units. The second hottest team in Europe, behind Dortmund, takes on Sporting Lisbon today. Arsenal have only lost to Chelsea away from home this season. There is going to be a lot of roster turnover for this midweek game after playing Monday, but I expect some super subs to come on and seal the victory for the Gunners.

Tennis

Tennis October 25th – Swiss Indoors – Roger Federer

Fognini rolling his ankle mid-match yesterday hurt, back at it today.

Roger Federer at -480 for 5 units. Jan-Lennard Struff has never won a set against Roger (0-8). Federer’s hometown here. Should be an easy one.

Daniil Medvedev at -238 for 3 units. Medvedev is in fantastic form and is 16-4 on indoor hardcourts this season. Daniil lost to Seppi in the only H2H meeting in a close match, but Daniil is in a lot better form than then. He will get his revenge today.

Basketball

NBA October 24th – Lakers First Win with Lebron Tonight?

7-9-1 on NBA this season down 5.34 units

Hornets -5 for 4 units. No Kris Dunn, Lauri, or Denzel Valentine for the Bulls. Kemba Walker was just named Eastern Conference player of the week. He has been sizzling. Charlotte looked bad against Toronto, but they will pick it back up here.

Lakers at -200 for 2 units. Lebron won’t lose to the Suns right? His missed free throws, not guarding his man on the next San Antonio 3, and then missing the game winner was ugly.

Soccer

Soccer October 24th – Champions League

44-31-5 on Soccer since World Cup up 23.37 units

Tottenham at +108 for 4 units. PSV haven’t won in their last 10 Champions League games. Hirving Lozano is in great form for PSV, scoring 3 in the last 2 games. Harry Kane is still Harry Kane though and Lamela has shown some class recently. Tottenham is 3rd in their group behind Inter and Barcelona and 6 points behind both. They have to win this one if they want to move on.

Dortmund pk -115 for for 4 units. Atletico have only won 2 of their last 6 away games. I still think Dortmund is the hottest team in Europe. Borussia has the second highest scoring rate in Europe’s top 5 leagues behind PSG. Atletico have not lost in 8 games, but traveling to Germany will be tough. Diego Simeone is one of my favorite coaches, but Dortmund’s attack will be too much. I could see this ending 1-1, but if a team wins, I think it will be Dortmund.

Tennis October 24th – Swiss Indoors and The Vienna Open

Gael Monfils at -150 for 2 units. If Monfils is fit he will win. He played 5 matches in Antwerp last week and has been retiring this season, but he is the better player than Steve Johnson. I can’t pass up this value.

Roberto Bautista-Agut at -317 for 4 units. Roberto has a 4-1 H2H lead on indoor hardcourts. Sousa has been in pitiful form besides Shanghai. I want to make this a max play, but Roberto has lost matches he just shouldn’t before..

Fabio Fognini at -163 for 6 units. Fognini won the only other H2H against Fucsovics in straight sets. It always take some balls betting big units on Fognini in back 2 back days, pero tengo huevos. I bet on Marton Fucsovics in the last round, but Fabio is too talented for him. Once again Fognini’s ankle is the only thing that keeps me from making this a max play. The Italian #1 has a good opportunity in this tournament to get his Italian record of 4 tournament wins in a season. Thiem and Anderson and the only two people in this tournament that can truly challenge him if he is healthy.
