4-0 in soccer up 5.72 units

Sevilla ML for 2 units in La Copa. Carnaval de Cádiz starts next month, but I doubt the Cádiz futbol club will still be playing in the Spanish cup then. I think Cádiz will come out firing which will leave them open to the counter. Sevilla does struggle away from home this year and historically, but Cádiz is one of the closer places they can travel to being only about an hour and half away. Cádiz did beat Sevilla’s cross town rival Real Betis in the round before, but they will not be able to beat both Sevilla teams. Take Sevilla and the low juice.

Tottenham Hotspur -1 for 3 units. Swansea has lost to Everton, Manchester United, and Liverpool by a combined 11 goals and the Spurs are of that caliber if not better. Spurs have beat Southampton and Burnley by 3 recently and I think they win this game by 2. Spurs tied 0-0 with Swansea last time these teams met and I do no think Swansea can hold the Spurs scoreless for 180 minutes.

West Ham ML + West Ham Draw for 3 units each. Two bottom tier teams, but West Ham has been in better form getting 8 points from their last 5 games, while West Brom has only 3 points in the same span. These teams tied in both 2017 meetings and I think we see more of the same here. West Brom are not even scoring a goal a game this season and I expect them to struggle here again.

Manchester City -1.5 for 2 units. De Bruyne being out worries me, but I think Sterling and Aguero will be enough. Manchester City has not even tied a game at home since August and have outscored Watford 11-0 in their past two meetings. Watford has only 3 points in their last 5 games and Manchester City has 13 in that same span. Take the league leaders to get back on the winning track.

3-0 in 2018 up 5.58 units

Suns -2 for 3 units. Suns have Devin Booker back and I think they match up well against the Hawks. Hawks are not a good road team and I think they lose this game by more than 2. Greg Monroe has been good down low for the suns and T.J. Warren is adding some solid consistent scoring. Look for the Hawks to lose their 7th straight road game.

Hornets ML for 3 units. Kemba, Frank Kaminsky, and Jeremy Lamb have all been playing well of late and Dwight Howard down low is a good counter to Zach Randolph. In the Kings recent wins Zach Randolph plays well and I do not see that happening here. Hornets are closer to last place in the league than a playoff spot and struggle on the road, but I think they pull this one out.

Clippers -5 for 3 units. Clippers are hot so ride them. They should have Austin Rivers back for this one. I hate Austin Rivers, but he does add some scoring support. Blake Griffin is still a beast and will be too much for the struggling Grizzlies to handle. Clippers have been playing great at home lately and I think that continues. Grizzlies beat the Clippers in their last game together and I expect the Clippers to get some revenge here. the Grizz don’t even average 100 points a game and I think the Clippers will want to keep this winning going to get into the playoff seeds.

TCU +0 for 3 units. Baylor has lost to every good team they have played this year. TCU is a good team that barely lost to Oklahoma and Trae Young. TCU has a well balanced fun to watch offense that should overpower Baylor. Baylor is not that great against the spread at home and TCU has a good road record against the spread. TCU does not have the best defense, but against an average Baylor offense they should do enough for the victory.

Kansas -7 for 2 units. Texas Tech has not won an away game all year and I think they will struggle tonight for Kansas. Kansas has been drilling 3s at a school record pace and I think they fall tonight at home. Texas Tech has one of the better defenses in the BIG 12, but I do not think it will be enough to slow down Kansas in Phog Allen.

WVU -2 for 2 units is my only play today. Kansas State shot lights out vs Iowa State, but West Virginia has a better defense than Iowa State. WVU will crash the boards and win on the free throw line. Huggins is coaching against his old team and I think he will want this win more than others. WVU has a balanced offense that will wear Kansas State down. Final score 75-70 for West Virginia. Same score Bruce Weber’s Illinois team lost to UNC by in the 2005 national title.

Timberwolves -10 for 2 units. Lakers have looked awful in their last 5 games. Lonzo was not playing great, but he at least gave the Laker offense an identity. Lonzo is out and the Timberwolves have been looking better since Jimmy Butler has been shooting more. The Timberwolves beat the Lakers by 17 on Christmas in the Staples Center and I expect more of the same here for them at home.

Blazers +1 for 2 units. Dolla Damn should be back for this one after he worked out in conditioning drills on Sunday. Napier played well in Lilliard’s absence, but it will be nice for the Blazers to get their star back. I know the Bulls have been playing better and the Blazers just struggled against a bad Hawks team, but I like the Blazers here. They are just the better team and should be able to outshoot the Bulls on the way to a win.

Wofford beat UNC in Chapel Hill last night. Wofford beat UNC in Chapel Hill before Clemson ever did. Clemson has had over 50 more tries than Wofford. Roy Williams was his typical southern, mad self that he is after his boys lose. All great entertainment. Joe Lunardi tweeted “North Carolina’s home loss to Wofford is the worst by a defending national champion in the expanded NCAA tournament era (post-1985).”

Liberty -1 for 5 units. Yes Fort Wayne just beat Indiana for the second straight year, but people may not realize how good this Liberty team is. Liberty will be one of the better defenses IPFW has faced. I do like the fact the Fort Wayne’s mascot is the Mastodons for what it is worth. I think Liberty will show they are the better team on this neutral floor down in New Orleans.

Gonzaga -5 for 3 units. Jonathon Williams and Gonzaga are excited to head to warmer weather for this road-trip. I like that. Gonzaga smacked San Diego State last year, and I know both teams are very different, but I still like Gonzaga to cover. San Diego State lost to an average Cal team 12 days ago and haven’t played since. Gonzaga is averaging almost 92 points a game and is the best offense SDSU has seen all year.

Raptors -3 for 3 units. Raptors have been a good away team all year. 76ers are giving up over 109 points a game, which is not a good recipe against this hot Raptors team that put up 129 against the Hornets last time out. Toronto is 9-1 in their last 10 and the 76ers are 2-8. Seems like this line should be at 5 or 6, people giving the 76ers a little too much credit on their home floor.

Spurs -3 for 3 units. Spurs have won 3 in a row, Jazz have lost 3 in a row. Jazz need Donovan Mitchell and it appears they won’t have him for this game. Jazz do play a lot better at home, but the Spurs will look to get this 3-game road trip started off with a win. Even if Mitchell does play, he won’t be 100%. I think the Spurs bench will win this bet and the game for the Spurs. Pop is getting his players back from injury so his rotations will be more of what we are used to seeing from the Spurs.

Cavs -10 for 3 units. Cavs are 11-20 against the spread this year and the Bulls are 17-12 against the spread this year. Think both of these numbers start moving towards the mean tonight. The Cavs are great at home, having won 11 straight in The Land. Both teams are relatively hot, but the Cavs could not do enough to get past the Bucks. Bulls have not been beat since Mirotic returned from being punched in the face by Bobby Portis. Portis still has one of my favorite college highlight tapes.
