Warriors ML for 4 units. Not going to overthink this one. Warriors will want to avenge the loss they had in the opener. Curry has been red hot of late. The public is all over this one and are pushing the line up, I can’t see the Warriors going 0-2 vs the Rockets, especially when the Rockets don’t have Harden. Also, love that this game is on TNT. I’ve missed Shaq, Charles, and Ernie.

My lean for the Thunder/Clippers game is the Thunder -1 and will play for a unit just because I will be watching. Best of luck.

Barcelona – Celta Vigo under 3 for 4 units. No Messi, no Iniesta, and no Suarez for Barcelona. I think this match ends 1-1, but could even see a 1-0 victory for Celta Vigo. Ousmane Dembele should play for Barcelona, but that is not enough for them to score goals like they would with Messi on the pitch. Their last match together ended 2-2, but this one will be a lot less open without Messi.

Celta Vigo +1 for 2.5 units. Look for Maximiliano Gomez and Iago Aspas to put pressure on the Barcelona backline. Both are top 10 goal scorers in La Liga and Messi is the only player with more goals than Aspas this year.

Lost both overtime games yesterday with small spreads. Rough.

Cincy -7 for 4 units. Temple has struggled lately after beating some solid teams in the beginning of the year. Cincy is hot right now and they will look to go 2-0 in the conference. Temple will not be ready for how good Cincy is on the defensive side of the ball. The bearcats rebound better, force turnovers better, score better… you get the picture..

OSU +1 for 3 units. Iowa is real bad this year. They are 0-7 vs “good” opponents. OSU’s only recent loss came to UNC. Iowa has started 0-3 in conference play while OSU is 2-0. OSU beat a below average Wisconsin team on the road. Iowa just hasn’t beat anybody worth a damn all year and I don’t see that starting here.

Gonzaga -20 for 3 units. Pepperdine is just not in the same class as the Zags. Thought this spread would be at about 26 or 27. Pepperdine has a bad defense, and Gonzaga has a great offense. Not good for Pepperdine. The Waves have lost 5 in a row, Gonzaga will look to take their win streak to 3 games after their surprising loss to SDSU.

Richmond +2 for 3 units. Richmond has been playing better since this horrible start to the season. They were an easy team to fade early in the year, but I think it will come back to the mean in conference play. I actually think they win this one outright, but will take the points to be safe. Fordham has an awful offense and is poor at rebounding, I like this matchup.

VCU -1 for 3 units. Tillman will be too much for St Joes to handle. This line confuses me because VCU has the better defense, the better point guard, and the best big man in this game. Maybe it is because VCU has not won an away game all year, I think they win this one. Not going to overthink it.

Kentucky -2 for 3 units. VCU’s former coach Will Wade will go against the best team in the SEC. Have you heard this Kentucky team is young? LSU does have a potent offense, but Kentucky has a more balanced attack with five players averaging double figures in points. LSU is good at home at 7-1 on the season, but this will be the best defense they have faced all year. It seems like LSU should be slightly favored, but they are not so I am going to go against my gut and go with vegas. Best of luck.

Suns won last night but did not cover the -2 for my only loss in 2018 so far. Unreal bad luck. Schroder made a meaningless 2 point shot to cover the spread for them with one second remaining…

Raptors -5 for 4 units. Raptors have been hot and I think Dwane Casey should get some coach of the year consideration. Bulls have got lucky playing people without their stars, but will not get that fortunate in this one. DeRozan is a beast. Both teams have a good against the spread record, but I am going to ride with the hotter team.

Rockets Magic under 220 for 3 units. No James Harden. Magic offense is not that great. Magic and their opponent have not had 220 points in a game since December 23rd. Rockets have struggled since their hot November and early December. The line is right were I think it should be, but this total seems a little high the more I look at it.

Thunder ML – Warriors ML – Timberwolves ML Parlay for 3 units at +160. Lakers fade for the Thunder. Warriors look better again with Steph and his Curry gravity. Warriors have beat the Mavs by a combined 45 points in two games this year and I expect that number to go up. Twolves are 8-2 in the last 10 and are just better than the Nets. Towns and Butler are going to be too much for the poor Nets’ defense to handle.

Cavs +4 for 3 units. Lebron vs Kyrie. Crowder is back as well. This line is weird to me and usually I would zag and take Celtics -4, but I like Lebron in this revenge match too much. Cavs have won their last 2 on the second end of a back 2 back after starting 0-3 in those games on the season. These teams have already played once this year and that was a tough game for the Celtics as Hayward shattered his ankle. Cavs are 3.5 games back from the Celtics and Lebron may act like he does not care about that, but I think he does. Think this will be a close game so I am taking the points.

Sevilla ML for 2 units in La Copa. Carnaval de Cádiz starts next month, but I doubt the Cádiz futbol club will still be playing in the Spanish cup then. I think Cádiz will come out firing which will leave them open to the counter. Sevilla does struggle away from home this year and historically, but Cádiz is one of the closer places they can travel to being only about an hour and half away. Cádiz did beat Sevilla’s cross town rival Real Betis in the round before, but they will not be able to beat both Sevilla teams. Take Sevilla and the low juice.

Tottenham Hotspur -1 for 3 units. Swansea has lost to Everton, Manchester United, and Liverpool by a combined 11 goals and the Spurs are of that caliber if not better. Spurs have beat Southampton and Burnley by 3 recently and I think they win this game by 2. Spurs tied 0-0 with Swansea last time these teams met and I do no think Swansea can hold the Spurs scoreless for 180 minutes.

West Ham ML + West Ham Draw for 3 units each. Two bottom tier teams, but West Ham has been in better form getting 8 points from their last 5 games, while West Brom has only 3 points in the same span. These teams tied in both 2017 meetings and I think we see more of the same here. West Brom are not even scoring a goal a game this season and I expect them to struggle here again.

Manchester City -1.5 for 2 units. De Bruyne being out worries me, but I think Sterling and Aguero will be enough. Manchester City has not even tied a game at home since August and have outscored Watford 11-0 in their past two meetings. Watford has only 3 points in their last 5 games and Manchester City has 13 in that same span. Take the league leaders to get back on the winning track.

Suns -2 for 3 units. Suns have Devin Booker back and I think they match up well against the Hawks. Hawks are not a good road team and I think they lose this game by more than 2. Greg Monroe has been good down low for the suns and T.J. Warren is adding some solid consistent scoring. Look for the Hawks to lose their 7th straight road game.

Hornets ML for 3 units. Kemba, Frank Kaminsky, and Jeremy Lamb have all been playing well of late and Dwight Howard down low is a good counter to Zach Randolph. In the Kings recent wins Zach Randolph plays well and I do not see that happening here. Hornets are closer to last place in the league than a playoff spot and struggle on the road, but I think they pull this one out.

Clippers -5 for 3 units. Clippers are hot so ride them. They should have Austin Rivers back for this one. I hate Austin Rivers, but he does add some scoring support. Blake Griffin is still a beast and will be too much for the struggling Grizzlies to handle. Clippers have been playing great at home lately and I think that continues. Grizzlies beat the Clippers in their last game together and I expect the Clippers to get some revenge here. the Grizz don’t even average 100 points a game and I think the Clippers will want to keep this winning going to get into the playoff seeds.

TCU +0 for 3 units. Baylor has lost to every good team they have played this year. TCU is a good team that barely lost to Oklahoma and Trae Young. TCU has a well balanced fun to watch offense that should overpower Baylor. Baylor is not that great against the spread at home and TCU has a good road record against the spread. TCU does not have the best defense, but against an average Baylor offense they should do enough for the victory.

Kansas -7 for 2 units. Texas Tech has not won an away game all year and I think they will struggle tonight for Kansas. Kansas has been drilling 3s at a school record pace and I think they fall tonight at home. Texas Tech has one of the better defenses in the BIG 12, but I do not think it will be enough to slow down Kansas in Phog Allen.

WVU -2 for 2 units is my only play today. Kansas State shot lights out vs Iowa State, but West Virginia has a better defense than Iowa State. WVU will crash the boards and win on the free throw line. Huggins is coaching against his old team and I think he will want this win more than others. WVU has a balanced offense that will wear Kansas State down. Final score 75-70 for West Virginia. Same score Bruce Weber’s Illinois team lost to UNC by in the 2005 national title.
