Weekend Parlay Round 2

Won my parlay last week so running it back.

37-32-9 on Soccer in 2019 down 9.41 units

5-3 on College Football in 2019 up 7.67 units

5-8 on the NFL this season down 5.57 units

Last week’s Winning Parlay: Boise State/Ohio State/Clemson/Auburn/Kentucky Parlay risking 4 units to win 3.97 units.

Real Madrid/Liverpool/PSG/Ohio State/Cincinnati/Ravens/Chiefs Parlay risking 3 units to win 7.01 units. Liverpool haven’t lost a home Premier League Match since January 30th. It is September 14th. Newcastle has also struggled against the “top 6” recently. Real Madrid plays Levante. Weirdly enough, I have been to two Levante games in my life.. Levante lost both games by wide margins. Let’s hope that happens again. Eden Hazard may not start, but I think he will play. Real still have Benzema, Kroos, Casemiro, and the same back 4 with Courtois. I like them to take care of business today. PSG haven’t lost at home in the league since May. Strasbourg haven’t won a game this season. No Neymar, Cavani, or Mbappe… but I dont care. Verratti, Di Maria, Choupo-Moting, and my former Sevilla man, Sarabia, should get it done.

THE OSU are not going to lose to Indiana. Just stop it. Cincinnati has won 13 straight games against the opponent from Oxford (Miami of Ohio).

The Ravens play calamari (Kyler Murray.. sorry got the Munchies) and the Cardinals. The Ravens should be able to score. I don’t think the Earl Thomas addition to Baltimore has got enough attention. He can change a defense (I know they lost Suggs, Mosley, and others, but still). The Chiefs play the Raiders. Oakland looked good against Joe Flacco and the Broncos, but Mahomes can actually throw the ball, unlike Flacco.

Real Madrid is the only one I am worried about losing… plz play Hazard.

College Football September 13th – Look Out for the Podcast

The Podcast has been approved by Google Play and Apple Podcasts – should show up in the next 24 hours on both platforms. Will look into Spotify too. Once it appears on both platforms I will upload the one for this weekend. Subscribe and download! Also, I think Cam Newton should have to cover my gambling losses on the Panthers last night.. Someone text him for me. Thanks.

71-52 on College Football in 2018 up 53.33 units

16-12 on Bowls up 8.48 units

4-2 on College Football in 2019 up 7.03 units

North Carolina -1.5 at +150 (alternate line) for 3 units. Mack is Back. UNC has already beat Miami and South Carolina this season. Wake Forest is also 2-0 with wins against Rice and Utah State. Sam Howell (true freshman) made big plays against South Carolina, and even bigger plays against Miami (4th and 20 conversion with 3 minutes remaining and a touchdown throw to Dazz Newsome with a minute left). Here is a video I took of that touchdown. Sorry for the noise and shaky cam. I wasn’t sober. That touchdown hit the over and the money line. That’s why we gamble folks!

Jamie Newman has looked good at QB for Wake Forest. The Junior is about to face the best defensive line he has faced all year though. UNC is the more efficient team on offense according to ESPN’s metric, which actually makes a lot more sense than their QBR bullshit. UNC has played a lot tougher schedule and has allowed 11 less points, so their defense seems to be better too. Aaron Crawford is a Senior monster for UNC at nose tackle. The Ashburn, VA native is leading the UNC defensive line well.

Wake Forest/UNC under 66 at -110 for 4 units. I expect Javonte Williams and Michael Carter to run all over Wake Forest. Boogie Basham is a beast for Wake Forest and I could see him being disruptive to the UNC offense, but I just think UNC is going to run the ball more than they have all year. Wake Forest had 106 plays against Utah State, that is up-tempo. They won’t be able to sustain drives like that against the UNC defense. Heels win 35-24.

Thursday Night Football – Buccaneers at Panthers

69-58-5 on the NFL last season (2018/19) up 26.36 units

5-6 on the NFL this season up 0.57 units

Panthers at -280 for 4 units. This line should be closer to -360 for me. No way Jameis Winston can beat Cam Newton.. right? Winston seems to love throwing the ball to the other team. The Panthers match up well with Tampa’s wideouts. Donte Jackson can cover Godwin. James Bradberry can cover Mike Evans. Short, Burns, and former Buc Gerald McCoy all looked good against the Rams.. and I expect that to continue against a worse offensive line. CMC is going to ball out every week.. Panthers eat a W tonight.

Cam Newton over 1.5 passing TDs, Curtis Samuel over 36.5 receiving yards, Curtis Samuel will have at least 1 TD, Cam Newton over 247.5 passing yards Parlay risking 1 unit to win 2.85 units. I have a gut feeling Cam is going to complete a deep touchdown to Curtis Samuel. The Buccaneers did resign safety Andrew Adams, who picked off Cam 3 times last season, but that was an anomaly. Tampa plays a little more press coverage than the Rams did. LA played soft coverage, which made it hard for Samuel to get open deep.. As a result, a lot of the Panthers’ deep routes were just to open the field for CMC and DJ Moore underneath. I expect Cam to look deep more often tonight, as opposed to last Sunday.

Also, I am glad Eric Weddle is okay after McCaffrey’s knee made his head bleed last week. Don’t really know how that happened like that, but Weddle appears on track to the play the Saints. Good news for the 34 year old.

Esports Wednesday – USA is Knocked Out of the FIBA World Cup

2-1 on eSports up 3.28 units

Why is there no Maction college football for me on this Wednesday? I have to wait to week 7 of the college football season for some Wednesday action? This is dumb. Meant to bet on France +7.5 against the USA in the FIBA World Cup, but didn’t get up in time. USA and Kemba Walker lost. I’ll miss Kemba as a Hornets fan, but he struggled against fellow Hornet Batum. When Walker isn’t making shots and complaining about fouls he doesn’t get… he is not as good. Surprising, I know. There are 4 Celtics on that USA roster… so I am indifferent on my country losing. The Celtics can lose every game this year for all I care. A little CS:GO action today..

Heroic -1.5 at +125 for 1 unit. Windigo have had a lot of turnover since I last watched them. They have a Calyx and a Thomas now.. yeah I’m going with BlameF and Heroic.

Image of CS:GO player smiley

Se7en +1.5 at +198 for 1 unit. Se7en can win on Dust2 or Train. Smiley (above) is no joke. GamerLegion is the better team, but I think Se7en can get some strong play on the right maps. +198 is too enticing not too take..

NFL Week 1 Recap – Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Adds

69-58-5 on the NFL last season (2018/19) up 26.36 units

5-6 on the NFL this season up 0.57 units

Fantasy Must Adds: John Ross (Short-term), Darren Waller, Adrian Peterson (Short-term) DeSean Jackson, John Brown, Terry McLaurin, Ronald Jones (Long-term), Malcolm Brown (Higher if own Gurley), Chris Thompson, Carlos Hyde, Rex Burkhead.

I like them in that order.

Patriots looked great and they don’t even have AB on the field yet. The Pats defense looked good, but maybe the Steelers offense is bad.. Cam Newton was still inaccurate, I want him to be MVP level again for my Panthers, but that may never happen again 🙁

That Saints/Texans Monday night game was amazing. Gotta love all the Saints fans wearing referee uniforms. Watson to Hopkins was amazing, but not enough… even with some help from the refs (I think the roughing the kicker was the right call, but I can see why Saints fans were pissed). New Orleans did what they needed to to get the win.

Why did I bet on Joe Flacco and Matt Ryan? Oh well, still won money on the week thanks to the Titans, Colts, Texans, and Duke Johnson/Tarik Cohen’s ability to catch the ball. Shoutout to the AFC South.

Packers:

  • Aaron Rodgers: 18/30, 203 yards, 1 TD, 5 sacks + 3 carries, 8 yards
  • Aaron Jones: 13 carries, 39 yards  + 1 target, 1 reception, 0 yards
  • Marquez Valdes-Scantling: 6 targets, 4 receptions, 52 yards + 1 carry, 0 yards
  • Davante Adams: 8 targets, 4 receptions, 36 yards
  • Jimmy Graham: 6 targets, 3 receptions, 30 yards, 1 TD

Bears:

  • Mitchell Trubisky: 26/45, 228 yards, 1 INT, 5 sacks + 3 carries, 11 yards
  • Mike Davis: 5 carries, 19 yards + 7 targets, 6 receptions, 17 yards
  • David Montgomery: 6 carries, 18 yards + 1 target, 1 reception, 27 yards
  • Tarik Cohen: 0 carries + 10 targets, 8 receptions, 49 yards
  • Allen Robinson: 13 targets, 7 receptions, 102 yards
  • Taylor Gabriel: 2 receptions, 24 yards

I already talked about this Thursday game, but it was interesting how much Mike Davis was on the field. Davis was on the field for more than half of Chicago’s offensive snaps. Hurts Montgomery fantasy owners. Trubisky seemed to just look at Cohen and Robinson all game. Rodgers struggled in the first quarter, but he turned it on a little. The Packers defense looked good. Ugly week 1 game. Chicago had way too many penalties to overcome.

Lamar Jackson Football GIF by NFL

Ravens:

  • Lamar Jackson: 17/20, 324 yards, 5 TDs, 1 sack + 3 carries, 6 yards
  • Robert Griffin III: 6/6, 55 yards, 1 TD + 4 carries, 9 yards
  • Mark Ingram: 14 carries, 107 yards, 2 TDs
  • Justice Hill:  7 carries, 27 yards
  • Gus Edwards: 17 carries, 56 yards
  • Marquise Brown: 5 targets, 4 receptions, 147 yards, 2 TDs
  • Mark Andrews: 8 targets, 8 receptions, 108 yards, 1 TD
  • Willie Snead IV: 3 targets, 2 receptions, 41 yards, 1 TD
  • Hayden Hurst: 4 targets, 3 receptions, 41 yards
  • Miles Boykin: 1 target, 1 reception, 5 yards, 1 TD

Dolphins:

  • Ryan Fitzpatrick: 14/29, 185 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, 2 sacks + 1 carry, 8 yards
  • Josh Rosen: 1/3, 5 yards, 1 INT 1 sack
  • Kenyan Drake: 4 carries, 12 yards + 3 targets, 2 receptions, 15 yards
  • Kalen Ballage: 5 carries, -1 yards + 1 target, 1 reception, 13 yards
  • DeVante Parker: 7 targets, 3 receptions, 75 yards
  • Mike Gesicki: 6 targets, 2 receptions, 31 yards
  • Preston Williams: 5 targets, 3 receptions, 24 yards, 1 TD
  • Allen Hurns: 3 targets, 1 reception, 22 yards
  • Albert Wilson: 4 targets, 2 receptions, 13 yards

The Ravens dominated the Dolphins so bad that RGIII came into the game. Lamar Jackson was dropping dimes. Booger of MNF tweeted a while back that Louisville should look out for Lamar’s future and play him at WR. That looks silly now. The Dolphins planned on stopping Lamar from running it seemed like, so he just calmly passed all over them. The Ravens spent a high draft pick on a wideout for the first time ever it seems like.. and Hollywood Brown went off. Mark Andrews had a great game for the Ravens, but it was against the Dolphins.. and he got less than a third of the snaps (hard to sustain). Mark Ingram looked skinnier and damn good. The Dolphins are a dumpster fire. Chad Ochocinco said he would play for them.. Miami should get him and Tebow to sell some tickets. DeVante Parker was one of the few positives for Miami.

Rams:

  • Jared Goff: 23/39, 186 yards, 1 touchdown, 1 interception
  • Todd Gurley: 14 carries, 97 yards + 1 target, 1 reception, 4 yards
  • Malcolm Brown: 11 carries, 53 yards, 2 touchdowns
  • Brandin Cooks: 6 targets, 2 receptions, 39 yards
  • Cooper Kupp: 10 targets, 7 receptions, 46 yards
  • Robert Woods: 13 targets, 8 receptions, 70 yards + 2 carries, 16 yards
  • Tyler Higbee: 5 targets, 4 receptions, 20 yards, 1 touchdown

Panthers:

  • Cam Newton: 25/38, 239 yards, 1 interception + 3 carries, -2 yards
  • Christian McCaffrey: 19 carries, 128 yards, 2 touchdowns + 11 targets, 10 receptions, 81 yards
  • Curtis Samuel: 4 targets, 3 receptions, 32 yards
  • DJ Moore: 10 targets, 7 receptions, 76 yards
  • Greg Olsen: 9 targets, 4 receptions, 36 yards
  • Jarius Wright: 1 reception, 14 yards

CMC. CMC. Run CMC. Christian McCaffrey. McCaffrey. CMC. My Panthers would win some games if DJ Moore would stop fumbling the damn ball. Moore fumbled fighting for extra yards in the first half, with the Panthers driving. Tough. I’m surprised Samuel and Moore had no designed runs. Moore and Samuel should be great this season though, I still believe. James Bradberry looked like a beast in the Carolina secondary (he earned top pro football focus honors). Cam looked better than last year, but worse than 2015. Cam’s fumble was on a back pass to DJ Moore that wasn’t really Cam’s fault. Carolina’s o-line looked better than last year. Hopefully Cam shows out this week against the Buccaneers. Goff fed Kupp and Woods. Cooks was the odd man out this week, but I expect that to fluctuate. Malcolm Brown stole Gurley’s touchdowns, but Gurley looked fine. Aaron Donald had a quiet day due to double-teams, but that freed up Dante Fowler Jr to get a couple sacks. The Rams defense looked good all things considered. Panthers dug themselves too big of a hole to climb out of in the first half. The Brian Burns addition made the Carolina pass rush look a lot better than last season.

Titans:

  • Marcus Mariota: 14/24, 248 yards, 3 TDs + 3 carries, 24 yards
  • Derrick Henry: 19 carries, 84 yards, 1 TD + 2 targets, 1 reception, 75 yards, 1 TD
  • Dion Lewis: 3 carries, 7 yards + 4 targets, 3 receptions, 6 yards
  • Corey Davis: 3 targets, 0 receptions
  • A.J. Brown: 4 targets, 3 receptions, 100 yards
  • Delanie Walker: 6 targets, 5 receptions, 55 yards, 2 TDs
  • Adam Humphries: 1 target, 1 reception, 5 yards

Browns:

  • Baker Mayfield: 25/38, 285 yards, 1 TD, 3 INTs
  • Nick Chubb: 16 carries, 74 yards + 4 targets, 3 receptions, 10 yards
  • Dontrell Hilliard: 1 carry, 4 yards, 1 TD + 2 targets, 1 reception, 14 yards
  • D’Ernest Johnson: 2 carries, 14 yards + 2 targets, 2 receptions, 23 yards
  • Odell Beckham Jr: 11 targets, 7 receptions, 71 yards
  • Jarvis Landry: 6 targets, 4 receptions, 67 yards + 1 carry, 10 yards
  • Rashard Higgins: 3 targets, 2 receptions, 46 yards
  • David Njoku: 6 targets, 4 receptions, 37 yards, 1 TD

Vrabel’s defense looked great against the Browns. The Titans had the second least points allowed last year, and it looks like they will be up there again. I knew the Browns were overhyped and I bet the Titans.. Money is nice. The Browns had way too many penalties, which makes me think they believed their own hype. Seemed like Nick Chubb could have been fed more, but the Browns still have a bad offensive line. Odell and Jarvis Landry were good, but didn’t do near enough. Derrick Henry is… fast? He showed some speed on some long runs. A.J. Brown looked legit, which hurts Corey Davis. I missed Delanie Walker last season, I am glad he is back. Mariota seems to have some solid options this season with Brown, Walker, and Humphries being added. The Titans have a great offensive line.

49ers:

  • Jimmy Garoppolo: 18/27, 166 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT + 2 carries, -2 yards
  • Tevin Coleman: 6 carries, 23 yards + 2 receptions, 33 yards, 3 targets
  • Matt Breida: 15 carries, 37 yards
  • Raheem Mostert: 9 carries, 40 yards + 1 reception, 0 yards, 1 target
  • George Kittle: 8 receptions, 54 yards, 10 targets
  • Marquise Goodwin: 1 reception, 7 yards, 3 targets
  • Deebo Samuel: 3 receptions, 17 yards, 3 targets
  • Dante Pettis: 1 reception, 7 yards, 1 target
  • Kendrick Bourne: 1 reception, 9 yards, 3 targets
  • Richie James: 1 reception, 39 yards, 1 TD, 2 targets

Buccaneers:

  • Jameis Winston: 20/36, 194 yards, 1 TD, 3 INT (2 picks 6s) + 5 carries, 13 yards
  • Peyton Barber: 8 carries, 33 yards + 2 receptions, 12 yards, 4 targets
  • Ronald Jones: 13 carries, 75 yards + 1 reception, 18 yards, 1 target
  • Dare Ogunbowale: 4 receptions, 33 yards, 5 targets
  • O.J. Howard: 4 receptions, 32 yards, 5 targets
  • Chris Godwin: 3 receptions, 53 yards, 1 TD, 6 targets
  • Mike Evans: 2 receptions, 28 yards, 5 targets
  • Breshad Perriman: 2 receptions, 10 yards, 5 targets
  • Cameron Brate: 2 receptions, 8 yards, 2 targets

Jameis Winston is still bad. He’s been all downhill since his eat a W speech. There were 4 touchdowns called back to due penalties this game and I’m pretty sure 3 of them were due to number 69 on either team. Jimmy G was fine. Kittle still looks great. Mike Evans and Godwin will have better games. The 49ers defensive line could be scary good this season. I will know more about both of these teams after next week. Just seemed hard to learn things from how conservative the 49ers played and how bad Winston was. Bucs play the Panthers on the road and the 49ers play the Bengals on the road.

Jets:

  • Sam Darnold: 27/40, 179 yards, 1 TD
  • Le’Veon Bell: 17 carries, 60 yards + 9 targets, 6 receptions, 32 yards, 1 TD
  • Ty Montgomery: 2 carries, 4 yards
  • Robby Anderson: 6 targets, 2 receptions, 15 yards
  • Jamison Crowder: 17 targets, 14 receptions, 99 yards + 1 carry, 4 yards
  • Quincy Enunwa: 3 targets, 1 reception, 8 yards

Bills:

  • Josh Allen: 24-37, 254 yards, 1 TD, 2 INT | 10 carries, 38 yards, 1 TD
  • Devin Singletary: 4 carries, 70 yards + 6 targets, 5 receptions, 28 yards
  • Frank Gore: 11 carries, 20 yards
  • John Brown: 10 targets, 7 receptions, 123 yards, 1 TD
  • Zay Jones: 5 targets, 2 receptions, 18 yards
  • Cole Beasley: 9 targets, 5 receptions, 40 yards

Bell is a stud. I missed his patient running. Robby Anderson will have better games. I can’t believe the Jets blew this game.. well actually I can.. Josh Allen looked as good as you can with 4 turnovers. Devin Singletary looked shifty and found open field with ease it seemed. Crowder set the record for most catches from a WR while having under 100 receiving yards in the game (14). He was basically an extension of the run game. The Bills only came back in this game because C.J. Mosley got hurt. What do Kim K’s sex tape and the Bills have in common? cumbacks. The Jets defense will miss Mosley if he misses time. John Brown looked good. The Jets O-line looked bad. I have talked about this game enough. I didn’t bet on this game because I knew I would be more mad than normal if I bet on the loser of this game…. That proved to be true as I would have sided with the Jets.

Redskins:

  • Case Keenum: 30/44, 380 yards, 3 TDs, 0 INTs, 1 sack
  • Derrius Guice: 10 rushes, 18 yards + 3 targets, 3 receptions, 20 yards
  • Chris Thompson: 3 carries, 10 yards + 10 targets, 7 receptions, 68 yards
  • Terry McClaurin: 7 targets, 5 receptions, 125 yards, 1 TD
  • Vernon Davis: 7 targets, 4 receptions, 59 yards, 1 TD
  • Paul Richardson: 7 targets, 4 receptions, 36 yards
  • Trey Quinn: 6 targets, 4 receptions, 33 yards, 1 TD
  • Kevin Harmon: 2 targets, 2 receptions, 31 yards
  • Jeremy Sprinkle: 1 target, 1 reception, 8 yard

Eagles:

  • Carson Wentz: 28/39, 313 yards, 3 TDs, 0 INT, 1 sack
  • Darren Sproles: 9 carries, 47 yards + 3 targets, 3 receptions, 16 yards, 0 TDs
  • Jordan Howard: 6 carries, 44 yards + 3 targets, 2 receptions, 11 yards, 0 TDs
  • Miles Sanders: 11 carries, 25 yards + 2 targets, 1 reception, 2 yards, 0 TDs
  • Desean Jackson: 10 targets, 8 receptions, 154 yards, 2 TDs
  • Zach Ertz:  7 targets, 5 receptions, 54 yards
  • Alshon Jeffery:  6 targets,5 receptions, 49 yards, 1 TD
  • Dallas Goedert: 3 targets, 2 receptions, 16 yards
  • Nelson Agholor: 5 targets, 2 receptions, 11 yards

Image result for they had us in the first half

The Redskins had us in the first half, not gonna lie. Wentz can sling it. DJax can still run fast. Darren Sproles is still playing in the NFL at a high level. This Philly team seems like a blast from the past on offense. Guice got injured. Adrian Peterson should fill in like he did last season. Chris Thompson is a great pass-catching back if he can stay healthy. Terry Mclaurin looked like a rookie stud. This Redskins team may have a better offense than many predicted. Keenum looked decent.

Falcons:

  • Matt Ryan: 33/46, 304 yards, 2 TDs, 2 INTs
  • Ito Smith: 6 carries, 31 yards + 1 target, 1 catch, 9 yards
  • Devonta Freeman: 8 carries, 19 yards + 4 targets, 3 catches, 12 yards
  • Julio Jones: 11 targets, 6 catches, 31 yards, 1 TD
  • Austin Hooper: 9 targets, 9 catches, 77 yards
  • Calvin Ridley: 6 targets, 4 catches, 64 yards, 1 TD
  • Mohamed Sanu: 6 targets, 5 catches, 57 yards
  • Justin Hardy: 5 targets, 4 catches, 41 yards

Vikings:

  • Kirk Cousins: 8/10, 98 yards, 1 TD, 2 fumbles
  • Dalvin Cook: 21 carries, 111 yards, 2 TDs + 2 targets, 2 catches, 9 yards
  • Alexander Mattison: 9 carries, 49 yards
  • Adam Thielen: 3 targets, 3 catches, 43 yards, 1 TD
  • Stefon Diggs: 2 targets, 2 catches, 37 yards
  • Chad Beebe: 1 target, 1 catch, 9 yards
  • Kyle Rudolph: 1 target, 0 catches

Why do I always bet on the Falcons? Dan Quinn said he was madder than he has been in a while after this game. Redzone turnovers, penalties, blown assignments… The Falcons did it all. Dalvin Cook has serious speed. I hope he can stay healthy. The Vikings defense looked like world-beaters at home in week 1. Austin Hooper will catch a lot of balls this season. The Falcons o-line looked bad. Are the Vikings the team to beat in the NFC North?Diggs and Thielen looked great as always.

Chiefs:

  • Patrick Mahomes: 25/33, 378 yards, 3 TDs + 1 carry, 2 yards
  • Damien Williams: 13 carries, 26 yards, 1 TD + 6 targets, 6 receptions, 39 yards
  • LeSean McCoy: 10 carries, 81 yards + 1 target, 1 reception, 12 yards
  • Darwin Thompson: 1 target, 1 reception, 3 yards
  • Anthony Sherman: 1 target, 1 reception, 15 yards
  • Sammy Watkins: 11 targets, 9 receptions, 198 yards, 3 TDs
  • Travis Kelce: 8 targets, 3 receptions, 88 yards
  • Tyreek Hill: 2 targets, 2 receptions, 16 yards + 1 carry, 5 yards
  • Mecole Hardman: 1 target, 0 receptions

Jaguars:

  • Nick Foles: 5/8, 75, 1 TD
  • Gardner Minshew: 22/25, 275 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT + 1 carry, 6 yards
  • Leonard Fournette: 13 carries, 66 yards + 6 targets, 4 receptions, 28 yards
  • D.J. Chark: 4 targets, 4 receptions, 146 yards, 1 TD
  • Chris Conley: 7 targets, 6 receptions, 97 yards, 1 TD
  • Dede Westbrook: 6 targets, 5 receptions, 30 yards, 1 TD + 1 carry, 2 yards
  • James O’Shaughnessy: 5 targets, 4 receptions, 32 yards
  • Geoff Swaim: 4 targets, 4 receptions, 17 yards

The Jags defense were whining and yelling the whole game. Myles Jack got ejected and it took 6 grown men to get him off the field. He has since apologized. The Foles injury obviously hurts Jacksonville, but I love the former Washington State and East Carolina QB Gardner Minshew. He is very Uncle Rico. Tyreek Hill also got hurt in this game, but Mahomes seemed not to notice. Sammy Watkins had himself a day. I am interested to see how much work Mecole Hardman gets with Hill out. Chiefs and Jags are what we thought they were.

Bengals:

  • Andy Dalton: 35/51, 418 yards, 2 TDs
  • Giovani Bernard: 7 carries, 21 yards + 3 targets, 2 catches, 42 yards
  • Joe Mixon: 6 carries, 10 yards + 3 targets, 2 catches, 7 yards
  • John Ross: 12 targets, 7 catches, 158 yards, 2 TDs
  • Tyler Boyd: 11 targets, 8 catches, 60 yards
  • Tyler Eifert: 6 targets, 5 catches, 27 yards
  • C.J. Uzomah: 5 targets, 4 catches, 66 yards
  • Damion Willis: 5 targets, 3 catches, 30 yards

Seahawks:

  • Russell Wilson: 14/20, 196 yards, 2 TDs
  • Chris Carson: 15 carries, 46 yards, 1 TD + 7 targets, 6 catches, 35 yards 1 TD
  • Rashaad Penny: 6 carries, 18 yards
  • D.K. Metcalf: 6 targets, 4 catches, 89 yards
  • Tyler Lockett: 2 targets, 1 catch, 44 yards, 1 TD
  • Nick Vannett: 2 targets, 2 catches, 16 yards
  • Will Dissly: 2 targets, 1 catch, 12 yards

Chris Carson is good and looked solid in the passing game for a change. Zac Taylor seemed to have turned around the Cincinnati offense. I’ll miss Marvin Lewis calling 20, 2 yard run plays for Jeremy Hill. Giovanni Bernard looked quick as ever, but didn’t get a touch till the Mixon ankle injury. The Seahawks still don’t have an offensive line it seems. DK Metcalf looked like a great wideout in week 1 of his career. John Ross showed why he was a first round pick with his speed. He is scary in the open field. Tyler Boyd was solid, but Ross caught the Tds. Andy Dalton had a clean pocket for most of the game. Seahawks secondary looks like it will miss Earl Thomas and others.

Giants:

  • Eli Manning: 30/44, 306 1 TD + 1 run, 6 yards
  • Daniel Jones: 3/4, 17 yards + 1 rush, 5 yards, 1 fumble
  • Saquon Barkley: 11 Carries, 120 yards + 6 targets, 4 catches, 19 yards
  • Wayne Gallman: 3 targets, 2 carries, 17 yards, 1 TD + 3 catches, 24 yards
  • Evan Engram: 14 targets, 11 catches, 116 yards, 1 TD
  • Cody Latimer: 8 targets, 3 catches, 74 yards
  • Sterling Shepard: 7 targets, 6 catches, 42 yards
  • Bennie Fowler: 5 targets, 5 catches, 40 yards

Cowboys:

  • Dak Prescott: 25/32, 405 yards, 4 TDs + 4 rushes, 12 yards
  • Ezekiel Elliott: 13 carries, 53 yards, 1 TD + 2 targets, 1 catch, 10 yards
  • Tony Pollard: 13 carries, 24 yards
  • Michael Gallop: 7 targets, 7 catches, 158 yards
  • Amari Cooper: 9 targets, 6 catches, 106 yards, 1 TD
  • Randall Cobb: 5 targets, 4 catches, 69 yards, 1 TD
  • Blake Jarwin: 3 targets, 3 catches, 39 yards, 1 TD
  • Jason Witten: 4 targets, 3 catches, 15 yards, 1 TD

Giants didn’t feed Saquon enough. Dak looked amazing. Elliot is Elliot. Eli Manning did just good enough for him not to be benched. Giants still don’t have a pass rush, Josh Allen and Brian Burns should have been drafted over Jones, but what do I know? Evan Engram looked great.

Steelers:

  • Ben Roethlisberger: 27/47, 277, 1 INT + 1 carry, 7 yards
  • James Conner: 10 carries, 21 yards + 4 receptions, 44 yards, 4 targets
  • Jaylen Samuels: 2 carries, 4 yards + 1 reception, 2 yards, 2 targets
  • JuJu Smith-Schuster: 6 receptions, 78 yards, 8 targets
  • Donte Moncrief: 3 receptions, 7 yards, 10 targets
  • Diontae Johnson: 3 receptions, 25 yards, 5 targets
  • Ryan Switzer: 6 receptions, 29 yards, 6 targets
  • James Washington: 2 receptions, 51 yards, 6 targets
  • Vance McDonald: 2 receptions, 40 yards, 4 targets

Patriots:

  • Tom Brady: 24/36, 341 yards, 3 TD
  • James White: 4 carries, 26 yards + 5 receptions, 56 yards, 7 targets
  • Sony Michel: 15 carries, 14 yards
  • Brandon Bolden: 1 carry, 7 yards
  • Rex Burkhead: 8 carries, 44 yards + 5 receptions, 41 yards, 8 targets
  • Josh Gordon: 3 receptions, 73 yards, 1 TD, 4 targets
  • Julian Edelman: 6 receptions, 83 yards, 11 targets
  • Phillip Dorsett: 4 receptions, 95 yards, 2 TDs, 4 targets

The Patriots dominated. The Steelers defense looked bad. Donte Moncrief looked awful. Josh Gordon, Edelman, and Jame White will still be pass-catching studs when AB arrives. I’ll know more about the Steelers after this Seahawks game.

Colts:

  • Jacoby Brissett: 21/27, 190 yards, 2 TD
  • Marlon Mack: 25 carries, 174 yards, 1 TD
  • Nyheim Hines: 4 carries, 13 yards; 4 catches, 4 yards
  • T.Y. Hilton: 9 targets, 8 catches, 87 yards, 2 TD’s
  • Devin Funchess: 5 targets, 3 catches, 32 yards
  • Eric Ebron: 3 targets, 1 catch, 8 yards
  • Parris Campbell: 1 target, 1 catch, 1 yard
  • Jack Doyle: 2 targets, 1 catch, 20 yards

Chargers:

  • Philip Rivers: 25/34, 333 yards, 3 TD’s, 1 INT
  • Austin Ekeler: 12 carries, 58 yards 1 TD; 7 targets, 6 catches, 96 yards, 2 TD
  • Justin Jackson: 6 carries, 57 yards; 1 target, 1 catch, 4 yards
  • Keenan Allen: 10 targets, 8 catches, 123 yards, 1 TD
  • Mike Williams: 3 targets, 2 catches, 29 yards
  • Hunter Henry: 5 targets, 4 catches, 60 yards

I was right on this game too, that spread was too big with how good Indy’s offensive line is. T.Y. Hilton is still great. Marlon Mack went off and looks like a great RB. Malik Hooker made the interception of the week. Austin Ekeler played so well it seemed obvious why the Chargers don’t wanna pay Gordon 16 million a year. Keenan Allen is still good and I think he can get 1500 yards and 10 touchdowns if he stays healthy. Jacoby Brissett looked above average. Phil Rivers looked like Phil Rivers. Eric Ebron bobbled a TD catch as he fell out of bounds. Can’t believe Adam Vinatieri struggled to the point he missed 3 kicks and cost the Colts the game.

Lions:

  • Matthew Stafford: 27/45, 385 yards, 3 TDs + 3 carries, 22 yards
  • Kerryon Johnson: 16 carries, 49 yards + 2 targets, 2 receptions, 13 yards
  • C.J. Anderson: 11 carries, 35 yards
  • Ty Johnson: 1 carry, 6 yards
  • J.D. McKissic: 2 targets, 2 receptions, 24 yards
  • Kenny Golladay: 9 targets, 4 receptions, 42 yards, 1 TD
  • Marvin Jones: 4 targets, 4 receptions, 56 yards + 1 carry, 4 yards
  • Danny Amendola: 13 targets, 7 receptions, 104 yards, 1 TD
  • T.J. Hockenson: 9 targets, 6 receptions, 131 yards, 1 TD

Cardinals:

  • Kyler Murray: 29/54, 308 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT + 3 carries, 13 yards
  • David Johnson: 18 carries, 82 yards + 7 targets, 6 receptions, 55 yards, 1 TD
  • Chase Edmunds: 1 carry, 5 yards + 1 target
  • Larry Fitzgerald: 13 targets, 8 receptions, 113 yards, 1 TD
  • Christian Kirk: 12 targets, 4 receptions, 32 yards + 1 carry, 12 yards
  • KeeSean Johnson: 10 targets, 5 receptions, 46 yards
  • Damiere Byrd: 7 targets, 4 receptions, 42 yards
  • Maxx Williams: 1 target, 1 reception, 15 yards

Kyler Murray gets a tie in his first start. T.J. Hockenson looks like the next stud TE. The Lions offense looked great honestly, but they should have ran the ball more and Danny Amendola should have ran out of bounds. Murray did get his balls batted down a few times, but he dodged some sacks and made some great throws in the 4th Q. Larry Fitz will never retire, I am convinced. Christian Kirk needs to be stronger and attack the ball better in my opinion.

Texans:

  • Deshaun Watson: 20/30, 268 yards, 3 TDs, 1 INT + 4 carries, 40 yards, 1 TD
  • Duke Johnson: 9 carries, 57 yards + 5 targets, 4 receptions, 33 yards
  • Carlos Hyde: 10 carries, 83 yards + 1 target, 1 reception, 2 yards
  • DeAndre Hopkins: 13 targets, 8 receptions, 111 yards, 2 TDs
  • Will Fuller: 3 targets, 2 receptions, 69 yards
  • Kenny Stills: 3 targets, 3 receptions, 37 yards, 1 TD
  • Jordan Akins: 2 targets, 1 reception, 17 yards

Saints:

  • Drew Brees: 32/43, 370 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT
  • Taysom Hill: 2 carries, 8 yards + 2 targets, 1 reception, 9 yards, 1 TD
  • Alvin Kamara: 13 carries, 97 yards + 8 targets, 7 receptions, 72 yards
  • Latavius Murray: 6 carries, 43 yards, 1 TD + 3 targets, 2 receptions, 4 yards
  • Michael Thomas: 13 targets, 10 receptions, 123 yards
  • Ted Ginn Jr. 7 targets, 7 receptions, 101 yards
  • Tre’Quan Smith: 2 targets, 2 receptions, 26 yards, 1 TD
  • Jared Cook: 3 targets, 2 receptions, 37 yards

If you didn’t watch this game… I am sorry. Drew Brees and Deshaun Watson looked great. Hopkins and Thomas proved why they are 2 of the best wideouts in the game. Houston missed Clowney. Carlos Hyde ran hard. Both these teams should make the playoffs.

Broncos:

  • Joe Flacco: 21/31, 268 yards, 1 TD
  • Phillip Lindsay: 11 carries, 43 yards + 6 targets, 4 catches, 23 yards
  • Royce Freeman: 10 carries, 56 yards + 1 target, 1 catch, 5 yards
  • Courtland Sutton: 8 targets, 7 catches, 120 yards
  • Emmanuel Sanders: 7 targets, 5 catches, 86 yards, 1 TD
  • Noah Fant: 5 targets, 2 catches, 29 yards
  • DeSean Hamilton: 4 targets, 2 catches, 5 yards

Raiders:

  • Derek Carr: 22/26, 259 yards, 1 TD
  • Josh Jacobs: 23 carries, 85 yards, 2 TDs + 1 target, 1 catch, 28 yards
  • Jalen Richard: 1 carry, 3 yards
  • Darren Waller: 8 targets, 7 catches, 70 yards
  • Tyrell Williams: 7 targets, 6 catches, 105 yards, 1 TDs
  • Ryan Grant: 4 targets, 3 catches, 16 yards
  • Hunter Renfrow: 3 targets, 2 catches, 13 yards
  • Foster Moreau: 2 targets, 2 catches, 20 yards

Josh Jacobs looked amazing. The Broncos O-line is still bad. Isaac Yiadom got taken advantage of by Derek Carr. Darren Waller looks like a top 10 tight end. Waller was on the field for every play. Tyrell Williams made Oakland think they still had Antonio Brown. Courtland Sutton was one of the few bright spots for Denver. Lot of penalties this game. Will the Broncos be terrible with one of the best d-lines in football again this season?

Euro Qualifiers

92-78-9 on Soccer in 2018 up 8.17 units

37-32-9 on Soccer in 2019 down 9.41 units

Portugal/Serbia/England/Turkey Parlay risking 3 units to win 3.65 units. All these teams “need” a win and are heavy favorites. Serbia at Luxembourg could be the parlay killer, as Serbia has got a red card on the road in 2 of their past 4 away games; however, I trust Dusan Tadic and Serbia to get it done.

France first half -2 at -117 for 2 units. France is favored by 4.5 against Andorra for the game. Andorra is bottom of the group. I expect France to come out swinging.

Portugal first half -1 at -134 for 2 units. Lithuania have not scored more than once in their last 9 home matches. Ronaldo, Bernardo Silva, and Joao Felix will get the job done. Portugal won their last match, predicted it on the podcast, and Serbia fans were chanting “Messi” to Ronaldo… Ronaldo scored shortly after the chant got loud to shut them up.. I like Messi more, but Ronaldo is amazing.

NFL Monday Night Football

69-58-5 on the NFL last season (2018/19) up 26.36 units

3-5 on the NFL this season down 2.95 units

Texans +7 at -120 for 2 units. Have the Saints in one of my 3 survivors because I forgot to pick a team, so I am hedging a little here. I do like the Texans every year before Watson and Watt get injured. Xavier Crawford, Keke, and some offensive linemen are out, but Houston should be able to put up points. New Orleans has some starters out on defense, so I like this spot.

Broncos -3 at -103 for 2 units. I don’t think the Raiders would have been good with a level-headed AB on the field… I think they will struggle this year without him for sure. The Broncos should be a little more talented than last year. Denver had a lot of injuries and weak QB play last season. I don’t particularly like Flacco, but he is better than Denver’s QBs last year. Gruden and Carr Fade.

Duke Johnson Jr will have at least 4 receptions at -130 for 5 units. Duke Johnson will have a lot of catches, especially if the Texans get down like the spread predicts. Carlos Hyde doesn’t scare me.

MLB September 9th

92-83 on MLB last season and went up 34.31 units

43-39 on MLB this season down 2.46 units

Phillies at -131 for 4 units. Still don’t trust Folty for the Braves. Nola and the Phillies need a win here. Atlanta has the luxury of being up big in the division. Donaldson is the only Braves batter with a solid average against Nola. Phillies close the wild card gap a little tonight.

NFL Sunday Week 1

69-58-5 on the NFL last season (2018/19) up 26.36 units

1-3 on the NFL this season down 0.60 units

It’s here! Waffle House for breakfast and then RedZone all damn day. Panthers 1 PM (I can’t wait to see the dancing robot on FOX). Went and saw UNC beat Miami on a last minute touchdown (that touchdown hit the over), so I am a little hungover. Antonio Brown’s fantasy owners were pissed for all of 24 hours, but now they are no doubt happy he is on the Patriots now. This is such a Patriot signing it makes me sicker than this hangover.

Everybody and their mom is on the Eagles -10, but I am staying away from that game. Case Keenum is average, but I think Guice, Jordan Reed, and Washington’s defense can have a good year if they stay healthy. The Eagles will try to get back to being one of the best teams in the NFC again, so they have to win here.

Ravens -7 is also a public play, but I am staying away.

Falcons +3.5 for 3 units. Julio Jones is now the highest paid wide receiver in the league at 22 million a year. He is gonna ball out this year. Kirk Cousins doesn’t inspire me. Matt Ryan is good in a dome. I think this Falcons defense will be better this year than some think. Atlanta had like 18 safeties get injured last year, I expect the healthier secondary to contain Diggs and Thielen enough for a cover. Interested to see if Calvin Ridley and Austin Hooper can take the next step this year.

Titans +5.5 for 2 units. Browns should win this game, but I just like the Titans. Adam Humphries and Delanie Walker are not sexy, but they are good NFL Players for Mariota to have this season. Odell, Jarvis Landry, and Chubb are great weapons for Baker. The Browns defensive line should be good.. Week 1’s are weird and I think this will be an ugly game. Taking the points.

Colts +6.5 at -110 for 1 unit. Indy’s offensive line is the still one of the best in the league and I think they can neutralize San Diego’s defensive line. Need TY Hilton and Marlon Mack to step up.

Patriots/Steelers over 49 at -108 for 3 units. Let’s see if the gambling gods like us this year. Have to bet the Sunday night over. Patriots defenses usually start out the season slow. Brady, Edelman, White, and Michel should be enough for the Patriots to put up at least 3 touchdowns. JuJu and James Connor are gonna be studs this season. Be nice gambling gods!!

College Football September 7th

71-52 on College Football in 2018 up 53.33 units

16-12 on Bowls up 8.48 units

2-0 on College Football in 2019 up 6.31 units

1 Pending Parlay: Boise State/Ohio State/Clemson/Auburn/Kentucky Parlay risking 4 units to win 3.97 units.

UCLA -7.5 at -110 for 5 units. San Diego State beat Weber State 6-0 in the opener. I like UCLA to take care of business at home. Don’t do me wrong Chip Kelly.

Miami/North Carolina over 46 at -112 for 3 units. Going to this game. Have to bet the over.

Syracuse +1.5 for 1 unit. Syracuse wins this game on the offensive and defensive line.
