Manchester United -1 at +105 for 3 units. Newcastle’s only recent win is against Huddersfield 1-0. The Magpies have lost 70% of their home games this season. Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s Man United have scored 12 goals in their past 3 games. Manchester United have struggled to keep clean sheets lately, but there is a good chance they secure one here. Rashford and Pogba are in-form. Lukaku will most likely start as he is back fit. Going with the hotter team in this one.

Crystal Palace +0.5 at -124 for 4 units. Wolves haven’t tied in their last 8 premier league home matches. There is a solid chance they draw today. Palace beat Man City last time they had an away match. Palace’s defense has looked a little better over the past few matches. They lost 1-0 to Chelsea and drew Cardiff 0-0. Andros Townsend can score from anywhere on the pitch. Zaha will make the Wolves defense work. Palace have more attacking options and an improving defense. I like them to draw or win here.

College Football Playoff, Jon Jones/Gustafsson, Premier League soccer (Salah), Serie A soccer (Ronaldo), and of course Charlotte Hornets basketball…. ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED? IS THIS NOT WHY YOU ARE HERE?

I’ll start with soccer because that starts about 5 hours after this will be posted…

Juventus/Napoli/Tottenham Parlay risking 3 units to win 3.77 units. Sampdoria travels to Turin to face the Italian Giants today. It is near impossible to score on Juve in Turin. Juve only have one draw in their past 12 matches. Quagliarella can score for Sampdoria, but Juve’s attacking options should overwhelm the Sampdoria defense.

Tottenham have won 12 of their past 14 league matches. Wolves lack teeth in their attack. Son is hot. Tottenham also have not drawn a game domestically in a while (all season). I could see Harry Kane making a penalty in this one.

Napoli have beat Bologna by a score of 19-3 over their past 5 matches against each other. Napoli lost last time out to Inter. Koulibaly got a red card in that game and was the target of racism. Inter has been “punished” for these acts of racism. I think the punishment should be more severe, but it is what it is. Milik, Insigne, and Mertens should be enough offense to secure the win.

Florida +7 at -149 for 5 units. Michigan lost to OSU and Notre Dame this season. They beat Wisconsin, Penn State, and Michigan State. I think Florida is more like the first two than the last 3. 7 points is a lot for a game that has a “low” over/under of 51. Florida averages 426.7 yards a game on offense. Michigan averages 427.3 yards a game on offense. Florida beat LSU and Mississippi State this season. Michigan is similar to those two teams in the sense that they all like to run the ball and play defense. Rashan Gary, Devin Bush, and Karan Higdon are all out for Michigan to focus on the NFL.

Notre Dame/Clemson under 59 at -128 for 3 units. Both these teams allow less than 18 points a game. 3 of Clemson’s last 4 games have gone under this number. 4 of Notre Dame’s last 4 games have gone under this number. Trevor Lawrence is great, but I could see him struggling a little in this one. Ian Book will be one of the best Qbs Clemson has faced all year. This game could be closer than people think, but it’ll be tough for either team to break 30/35 points.

Alabama/Oklahoma over 77 at -120 for 3 units. I’m not going to bet the under with Kyler vs Tua. Vegas is daring us to take the over. You have to.

6-1 on UFC/MMA in 2018 up 9.90 units

Montel Jackson at -165 for 2 units. Even though Jackson missed weight by 2 pounds and is fined 20% of his purse, I like him to beat Brian Kelleher. Jackson has an almost 9 inch reach advantage. Quik wins this one with superior kickboxing work.

Ryan Hall at -446 for 4 units. Hall is a great grappler from Northern Virginia. BJ Penn fights in another UFC bout here. BJ and all his brothers have the same name, Jay Dee Penn. That’s wild. BJ has not won a fight since he beat Matt Hughes in 2010. The man that once defended the lightweight championship 3 times, could be fighting his last fight tonight.

Walt Harris/Andrei Arlovski under 2.5 at -153 for 3 units. Walt Harris hasn’t seen the 3rd round in any of his last 5 fights. Andrei Arlovski last 5 fights have gone to a decision. Harris will be too much for the 39 year old…

Jon Jones/Alexander Gustafsson under 4.5 at -117 for 3 units. Jon Jones doesn’t like people saying he “lost” to Gustafsson when the decision went to Jones the first time these two met… he will be knockout hunting in this one. Gustafsson is ready to fight, if he wasn’t, he would have shut the fight down when it was moved from Nevada to California last week. Gustafsson is the only UFC fighter to takedown Jon Jones. Should be a good one with a knockout or submission. Gotta feeling…..

Southampton beat Arsenal last time at St Mary’s 3-2. West Ham has only won one of their last 8 at Southampton. Danny Ings has 4 goals in as many matches for the Saints. West Ham has a goal difference of -6 in the final 15 minutes of games.. not good. Arnautovic, Chicharito, Yarmolenko, Lucas Perez, Carlos Sanchez, Reid, Lanzini, and Wilshere are all not fit for West Ham. Southampton is hot, going to ride the wave.

Wolverhampton Wanderers +0 at -135 for 3 units. Fulham don’t have a clean sheet at home this season. Wolverhampton have been scoring for fun. Raul Jimenez has taken Chicharito’s role of top Mexican goalscorer in the Premier League for Wolverhampton. Wolves have scored 14 goals after halftime this season, so even if they get down, they can get it back, which I like. Midfielder Frank Anguissa is still out for Fulham. Fulham coach Claudio Ranieri has never won a Boxing Day match (0-4-2). Wolves have 25 points after 18 games, which is more than they had in the whole 2011-12 season. Fading the bottom feeders in this one.

Crystal Palace at -155 for 2 units. Kouyate and Hennessey should be back for Palace. Townsend scored the goal of his career last time out. His words, not mine. That goal is a certified banger though. Unreal strike. Cardiff are not so good on the road. Palace have won two in a row at Selhurst Park and have kept clean sheets in both. Cardiff have lost 7 of 8 away league matches this season. Zaha will frustrate the Cardiff defense. Value here.

Manchester United/Huddersfield over 2.5 at -145 for 2 units. No Mourinho = goals. Right?

Inter Milan +0.5 at -191 for 7 units. Inter Milan/Napoli under 2.5 goals for 2 units.

Home dog. Inter have won 6 straight at home in the league. Napoli and Inter have only given up 14 goals each on the season, tied for second behind Juve. Past two meetings between these two ended goalless. The Nerazzurri can pull within 5 points of Napoli with a win. Perisic will most likely slot in for the absent Nainggolan, who has been suspended. Nainggolan wants to return to Roma the rumor is. Icardi and Perisic can do enough here for Inter. Mazzoleni is the ref and Napoli fans feel he always calls more fouls for the other team… Just like this spot for Inter at home. IF Inter starts Borja Valero, I would not bet this as heavy… so wait for lineups… Valero does not have the pace or defensive ability to compete with Napoli’s midfield…

Real Betis at -126 for 3 units. The Andalucian side are led by Giovani Lo Celso who has scored 4 goals in his last 5 games. Betis are solid at home and have 12 points from their last 5 games. They keep rolling here against an Eibar team that hasn’t won in their past 3 away games.

Atletico Madrid at -236 for 3 units. Espanyol are in the worst form in the league. Atletico hasn’t lost at home all season. This should be -400 or more. Value.

Leipzig/Werder Bremen under 3 at +111 for 3 units. I think Leipzig get up 1-0 and then batten down the hatches. Leipzig have the best defense in the league and they are even better at home. Past 3 matches between these two have gone under this number. Just like this spot. The number should be 2.5.

Eintracht Frankfurt +1.5 at -159 for 5 units. Luka Jovic, Luka Jovic, Luka Jovic, and Sebastien Haller. I will keep writing about these two until every soccer fan knows them. They are great. Bayern have been rounding into form (barely), but Frankfurt have been hot all season. I don’t think Bayern will win this game by 2 on the road. Frankfurt have scored in their last 10 home matches. Bayern is still shaky at the back. Hummels lacks the pace and Boateng isn’t fit. Robben, Sanches, Tolisso, and James Rodriquez are all out for Bayern. Alaba and Kimmich are great at going forward, but Frankfurt can catch them out of position. I see a 2-1, 2-2 type game here.

Napoli/Lazio/Arsenal/Chelsea Parlay risking 4 units to win 6.08 units. Arsenal have won their past 6 homes games against Burnley. They have averaged 3 goals in those matches. This Arsenal team is better than some of those Arsenal teams as well. Chelsea haven’t lost at Stamford Bridge all season. Leicester have not won in their last 8 matches at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea have only lost twice this season, but are still 8 points behind Liverpool. They have to win these home games if they want the title. Lazio are in the midst of their worse domestic form since 2009; however, Lazio has won their last 7 matches against Cagliari at home. Cagliari have conceded first in 7 of 8 away games this season. Like Chelsea, Napoli are 8 points behind the league leaders (Juve) and haven’t lost at home all season.

Dortmund at -183 for 4 units. No not Bayern. League Leaders Dortmund welcome second place Monchengladbach to the Westfalenstadion. Dortmund lost midweek, but they didn’t start Sancho or Alcacer. Once, Sancho and Alcacer came on, Dortmund looked the better team. The lineup Favre put out, wasn’t the best in that game against Dusseldorf. Dortmund will play their strongest lineup today. Pulisic struggled midweek and I hope he plays better if he gets another start. Thorgan Hazard and Plea have been playing great for Monchengladbach, but Dortmund’s offense is more explosive at home. Should be a fun match to watch..

RB Leipzig +2 at -185 for 7 units. Bayern Munich have been finding some better form, but they haven’t been playing anybody great in their recent wins. Leipzig have one of the best defenses in all of Europe so far this season. Leipzig have kept a clean sheet in 7 of 15 league matches this season. Leipzig won 2-1 last time they met. Timo Werner has scored 3 goals in his last 3 meetings against Bayern. Werner also scored twice over the weekend. Yussuf Poulsen has been in fine form for Leipzig this season as well. +2 is way too much for a top-4-Bundesliga clash. Lewandowski, Muller, Kimmich, Alaba, and others are all great, but I like this spot.

Eintracht Frankfurt at +120 for 2 units. Frankfurt are one of my favorite teams to watch in Europe. Today they go on the road against injury-riddled Mainz. Frankfurt have not won in their last 10 trips to the Opel Arena. That has a good chance of changing today. Luka Jovic and Sebastien Haller are deadly going forward for Frankfurt. Mainz have struggled keeping clean sheets this season and today will be no different.

Chelsea at -277 for 3 units. Bournemouth are in terrible form. Chelsea could field a weak lineup, but as long as Pedro, Willian, and/or Hazard play I like them. These are the types of games where Giroud shines.

Tottenham to advance at +104 for 2 units. Tottenham went up on Arsenal last time they met at halftime (due to an undeserved PK), but Arsenal turned it on in the second half and won. Arsenal’s defense has injury concerns that don’t include Rob Holding being out for the year. Harry Kane will score. Arsenal’s defensive issues that showed in their loss to Southampton continue here.

Dortmund at -205 for 1 unit. A lot of Dusseldorf’s players have injury concerns. They will be starting a few subs today. Paco Alcacer leads the league in goals with 11. Dortmund have won their past 5 matches and all 5 away matches this season. Reus, Pulisic, Witsel, Sancho, Philipp, and Gotze will be too much for Dusseldorf. Dusseldorf’s defender, Ayhan scored a brace last time out. That won’t happen here.. Dodi Lukebakio has been a pleasant surprise for the home team here, but I don’t think Dodi and his teammates can do enough to get points agains the league leaders today.

Borussia Monchengladbach -1 at -167 for 2 units. Monchengladbach have not lost or tied at home all season. Thorgan Hazard has stepped his play up this season and it shows in his stats. Nurnberg have got 1 point and scored 3 goals in their past 5 games.

Arsenal -1 at +150 for 2 units. Southampton haven’t won in their last 12 PL matches. Arsenal, well, has won. Aubameyang is tied for the league lead with 10 goals. Southampton lost to Cardiff last time out and Tottenham 3-1 before that. I think there is a better chance for Arsenal to win by 2 or more than these odds entail.

Liverpool at -176 for 2 units. Not betting on Mourinho’s side. Klopp and Salah get the win today.

Girona +1.5 at -150 for 2 units. Sevilla are great at home, but Girona has been playing well. Both of these teams have 5 goals in their last 5 games while allowing only 3. Stuani is tied with Messi for top scorer in the league. Should be a close game. I love Sevilla, but I think winning by 2 goals against a solid Girona side is a tall order.

Eintracht Frankfurt at +154 for 1 unit. Luka Jovic and Sebastien Haller. That is all.

Barcelona/Villarreal +0/Real Betis +0.5 risking 4 units to win 9.07 units. Betis are in some of the best form in La Liga, while Espanyol are in some of the worst. Carlos Bacca has scored 4 goals in his last two La Liga games for Villarreal. Huesca are looking like they are going to get relegated. Villarreal have to take advantage. Barcelona lost one game all of last season, that was to Levante 5-4. They get revenge today.

Atletico Madrid at -146 for 4 units. This game should be at -250, but it isn’t because Atletico haven’t won in 4 games away from home. Valladolid does not have the talent that Madrid has. Madrid only have 1 away win this season in the league. That changes today. Atletico have won their past 6 La Liga matches against Valladolid by a score of 16-2. Oblak has 103 clean sheets for Atletico. Yes, 103!! Valladolid have only scored 4 goals in their past 5 league games. Atletico wins 1-0 or 2-0.

Valencia at +179 for 2 units. Eibar have had one of their best starts to a La Liga season ever, but Valencia have the second best defense in the league (12 goals allowed) behind Atletico and tied with Getafe. Pareja has been great being the maestro this season for Valencia. Kondogbia, Soler, Mina, Rodrigo, Wass, Coquelin, and Garay are all solid players for Valencia. This Valencia team has struggled for wins this season, but they lead Europe with 9 league draws this season. Eibar have slowed down and Valencia have picked it up over the past few games. Here’s to that continuing..

Dortmund at -299 for 4 units. I love this Dortmund team, and not just because they have Christian Pulisic. Paco Alcacer has 11 goals in only 6 starts this season. He is a World Class super sub. Dortmund hasn’t lost at home in the league all season. Werder Bremen have only won 1 of their last 5 league games. Dortmund has won all 5 of their last 5 and are 7 points clear of Monchengladbach at the top of the table (8 points ahead of Bayern). Dortmund averages over 3.5 goals a game at home. I told myself I would keep betting Dortmund under -300 till they burned me and they haven’t yet.

Juventus -1 at +108 for 2 units. Derby della Mole today. The oldest derby in Italy. Juventus and Torino. Juventus have not gone two matches without a win since they signed Ronaldo. They lost to Young Boys midweek, but they had already qualified for the round of 16 in the Champions League. Ronaldo will go out of his way to be a team player in this one, after being selfish and cancelling Dybala’s goal against Young Boys. Torino have been a fairly easy team to bet on this season as they win the matches they are supposed to and draw/lose vs better competition (AC Milan and Napoli). Juventus have won their past 3 meetings. Dybala is in great form. Mario Mandzukic is one of the best poachers in all of soccer. I like this spot with Juve coming off a loss.
