I am betting Larry Nance Jr. at +220 for 2 units and Donovan Mitchell at +125 for 3 units. For those that don’t know, Larry Nance’s dad won the first ever dunk contest back in 1984. He will most likely bring out his dad to play to the judges, so he is almost guaranteed to make it past the first round. Dennis Smith is a freak athlete, but his wingspan is a foot shorter than all the other contestants. I just think Mitchell and Nance are more explosive and powerful than Oladipo. Larry Nance already has the dunk of the year over Kevin Durant. He has also dunked over past winner Blake Griffin this year. The odds have also come down for the both of these plays which I like.

Leicester -1 for 2 unit at -112. Sheffield United has not been good on the road lately and Leicester will look forward to getting back to King Power after a 5-1 beat down by Manchester City. The Mahrez drama has slowed Leicester’s season a little, but they will still want to get to Wembley for the FA cup final.

On a side note: Have you all seen these Donald Trump FA Cup round commercials. They really outdid themselves with this 5th round commercial. “VAR – very amazing referees.” and another gem “Look at these bad walls, disappointing […] no balls through my walls” Pretty damn good.

Finland – Sm Liiga

Pelicans pk for 3 units at +104. Neither one of these teams have any players competing in the Pyeongchang Olympics. Hameenlinna has only scored 9 goals in the last 5 games to go along with one of the worst home records in the league. The Pelicans have actually been pretty good on the road. Pelicans are in better form, although both are on losing streaks. I’m taking the value play here.

SaiPa Vaasan Sport over 5 for 2 units at -117. Vaasan Sport have been letting in goals on goals and SaiPa should be able to put 4 goals up on their own.

SaiPa pk for 2 units at -180. Once again, neither one of these have important players competing in the Olympics. This is a Vaasan Sport fade. Vaasan has been in some of the worst form in the league and this high juice is indicative of that. SaiPa have won their last 3 games as well.

Lukko pk for 1 unit at +108. Lukko has lost their last 3 home games, but won their last game 4-1 against the Pelicans. These teams are in similar form, Jyvaskyla has the better offense, but Lukko has the better defense. I could see this game going to overtime, but Jyvaskyla did give up 6 goals their last time out against a team of lesser quality than Lukko.

NHL – OT included

Carolina Hurricanes ML for 1 unit at -165. Islanders fade. Islanders are on the second night of a back 2 back and have to travel south to North Carolina overnight. Cam Ward should be back in goal for the Hurricanes as they gave up 5 goals without him in their last game. Ward is 5-1-1 in his last seven games played. Cam is 12 years removed from winning the Stanley Cup with the Canes as a rookie, but he is still the best goalie they have in my opinion.

Rhode Island -1 for 3 units. This may be a sucker bet, just like Ohio State +1 was last night, but I am going to bet it. Rhode Island won the first game between these two by 14. This line may be so low because it is a home game for St. Bonaventure and they have won 7 in a row. I just think Rhode Island has a better defense and that showed in the first matchup. Rhode Island held St. Bonaventure to 38% shooting in the first meeting. The Rams also out-rebounded The Bonnies in that game. Rhode Island is not getting the national recognition they deserve because of the “mid-major” conference they play in. I’ll take the best team in the conference on a 16 game win streak with a low spread.

Rangers ML at +103 for 2 units. Islanders fade. Islanders have given up 22 goals in their past 5 games. The Rangers have actually lost the last 6 games between these two teams so I expect that streak to end. The Rangers are in last in their division, but if they win here, they will be less than a game back from a playoff spot.

Ducks ML at -120 for 1 unit. Blackhawks fade. Blackhawks have lost 7 in a row overall and 6 in a row at home. Blackhawks only have 7 goals in their past 5 games and only two of those came without a power play. If the Ducks can stay out of the penalty, they will win this game.

Ohio State +1 for 3 units. Penn State beat OSU earlier in the season so this is a revenge game for the Buckeyes. OSU has a slightly better offense and defense, but this small difference may not matter as much in rivalry games like this. OSU will most likely have the Big 10 coach and player of the year in Chris Holtmann and Kevin Bates-Diop respectively. OSU lost to Penn State on a last second half court bank shot by Tony Carr. Kam Williams should be back for this game for OSU as well. I like the revenge angle and OSU’s ability to play defense with lengthy big guys that can switch on pick and rolls.

Purdue -10 for 2 units. Purdue has the advantage on defense and inside. Wisconsin is missing 2 of their 4 best guards and their big men have not played to their potential this season. Purdue won this game by 28 earlier this season and I expect another double digit win here.

Arizona State +1 for 1 unit. Another revenge game here. Arizona State lost this game by 6 at Arizona earlier this season. The Sun Devils have been playing a lot better on defense lately and the home crowd should give them an added boost. Arizona State has beat Xavier and Kansas this year, so they can compete with the some of the best schools in the country. Arizona does have the height advantage inside, but Arizona State averages more rebounds. ASU got a lot of shots blocked in the first matchup and I think they will make the necessary adjustments to pull out the home win.

35-27-1 in soccer down 1.54 units

Dortmund ML at -128 for 4 units. Dortmund has not lost at home this calendar year and will want to prove something after not winning a game in Champions League. Pulisic, Reus, Schurrle, and Batshuayi will be too much for Atalanta’s backline. Dortmund know they need an advantage going to Italy for the second leg if they want to advance. Atalanta did come away with first in their group, but that was when Everton was in awful form. Batshuayi and Dortmund have won the last two games and he actually might be a better fit than Aubameyang. Aubameyang seemed to be offsides a lot and did not always link up with other Dortmund players. Batshuayi may not have the pace of the man he replaced, but he seems better at finding space in the box already.

Lazio ML at -103 for 3 units. Lazio have been struggling domestically and will look to the Europa league to change their recent run of poor form. This should be a fairly open game wth exciting counters, but I expect Immobile to be the difference. If Ciro does not play, I will most likely stay away. Lazio has scored in every away Europa league game, while FCSB has scored in every home Europa league game, so we should see some goals.

Atletico Madrid -1 at +103 for 3 units. I just can’t see Copenhagen scoring against Atletico’s backline. Antoine Griezmann has been in fine form and is averaging a goal a game over his last 5. Madrid has held opponents scoreless in 6 of their last 10 on the road. The under on goals is an interesting play here too, but I usually stay away from that with a home underdog in the first leg.

Maple Leafs ML for 2 units at -180. Leafs have scored 41 more goals than Columbus this season. Maple Leafs have won their past 5 home games. Auston Matthews leads Toronto in points, and the twenty year old looks like he is on his way to stardom in this league. Also, William Nylander has been playing the best season of his young career for Toronto. The Maple Leafs have more talent and are in better form. The Blue Jackets have won their last 2 games, but one of those was against the Islanders. The Islanders have the worst defense in the league according to my numbers so take that win with a grain of salt.

31-29 on NCAAB in 2018 up 3.93 units

Villanova -9.5 for 3 units. Providence just does not have the 3-point shooting to keep up with Villanova. The Wildcats won the first meeting between these two by 20. Villanova also has the better defense. Villanova lost to St. John’s because of St. John’s strong guard play, I do not think the Friars can get a performance like Shamorie Ponds put up for the Red Storm. Providence is 8-15 against the spread and Villanova is 17-8 against the spread. I thought this line would be about 13, so I am taking the value and the favorite.

VCU +3 for 2 units. Davidson has the better defense, but VCU has the better offense. Both these teams are 11-10 against the spread this season. Justin Tillman had 37 points in his last game, and will need to take over the rest of the season if he wants to go to the NCAA tournament in his senior season. VCU has only lost at home recently to Rhode Island and Richmond. Rhode Island is the best team in the conference and VCU just did not look right against Richmond. I’ll take the points with the home team as these teams are similar.

Mississippi State +1.5 for 2 units. Mississippi State is just better than Vanderbilt. The only reason this line makes any sense is because the Memorial Gymnasium is a tough place to play. Mississippi State has the better defense and the advantage inside. Vanderbilt has not lost at home in over a month, but I think that unbeaten run ends here.

NC State +5 for 2 units. My friends that are NC State fans hate me because every time I bet them, they do not cover. Let’s change that here. State is a good passing team averaging 16.2 assists per game. Passing and 3-point shooting is needed to beat the zone and I think the Wolfpack can do those things. Syracuse has won their last two games, but I do not think they are as good as NC State. This is a must win for both teams. Best of luck.

PSG +1/4 for 3 units at -120. Angel Di Maria and Edinson Cavani have their birthdays on this Champions League Wednesday. Cavani, Neymar, and Mbappe are all starting up top. Thiago Silva, Draxler, and Di Maria are all on the bench ready to play after dealing with injuries off and on this season. Bale is the super sub for Real Madrid. I could see this game ending 2-1 or 2-2 for PSG so I am betting them as the underdog. This is too much value to pass up against a Real Madrid team that has struggled this season.

Liverpool ML for 3 units at +118. Mane, Salah, and Firmino have all been in fine form and all start today. Liverpool’s midfield leaves a little bit to be desired with Henderson, Milner and Wijnaldum starting. Hector Herrera could eat up this midfield for Porto, but the absence of Aboubakar may hurt Porto. Klopp will go for some away goals in this one so I expect an open game with Liverpool’s talent up front being the deciding factor. Best of luck.
