11-6 on NBA in 2018 up 5.32 units

Pelicans -1 for 4 units. Grizzlies won the first meeting, but they had Mike Conley playing back then. Anthony Davis may not play, but the Pelicans have actually got more support of late. The floor should be more open for Cousins without Davis. Grizzlies have only covered in 3 of their last 16 home games. Pelicans are 3-2 without Davis this year and the losses game in good games vs the Warriors and at the Rockets. I expect them to pull out the win here.

Hawks +9 for 3 units. Hawks are 3-19 on the road this season. They have not won a game in this road trip. Nuggets won the first game they played against the Hawks by 5 and I think they are better now and they are at home. Jokic has been struggling to score lately, but I think he will get out of his slump starting here. Gary Harris is averaging almost 19 points over their last 10 games and Murray is having a good season as well. The Nuggets know if they want to make the playoffs, they have to win these games. Good teams win, great teams cover. Nuggets are not a great team – contrarian play.

Wizards -7 for 2 units. Jazz on the road fade. I hate betting the Wizards because they can’t close out games. See their 4th quarter meltdowns in their last two games if you want an example. They have to be as tired for blowing 4th quarter leads as the people that bet them. I just think the Wizards have too much offense for the Jazz to keep up. Best of luck.

Chelsea ML at -155 for 4 units. Arsenal is all out of sorts on the defensive end of the ball. They should have lost to Chelsea in their premier league contest recently but Morata blew two chances with just the goalkeeper to beat. Bellerin had a great half volley to tie the match for Arsenal. Arsenal just does not have the chemistry on the backline to stay in this one. Chelsea plays better at home and have only lost to Manchester City since September at Stamford Bridge. Kolasinac and Monreal both being out furthers my worries about Arsenal’s backline.

Chelsea Arsenal over 2.5 at -135 for 2 units. First match was open and Arsenal should be going for a goal here which will leave their shaky backline open. Best of luck.

Alaves -1 at -170 for 4 units. Copa del Ray game here. Alaves won the first leg 3-1, so Formentera will have to come out firing. This is the furthest Formentera has ever made it in La Copa and I although I think they may grab a goal here, but they will not do enough to move on. Munir, Bojan, and Demirović will just be too much for Formentera to handle. I see Alaves dominating on the counter and Formentera losing hope early in this game. Best of luck.

Crystal Palace +0.5 at -195 for 4 units. Another FA cup game. I can’t wait till Champions league and the season starts to pick back up in early February, but till then…. Crystal Palace looked good vs one of the best teams in Europe, Manchester City, tying them to a scoreless draw. They came back from that performance with a 2-1 win vs Southampton to prove that is was not a 1 time thing.  I think the bookmakers just got this line wrong. I thought Crystal Palace to tie or win would be about -250. I’ll take what I perceive as value here. Zaha and Luka Milivojevic have been playing well for Palace and their defense has been stellar. Brighton only have 3 goals in their last 5 games. If you are feeling lucky, bet the under and the tie because I could see this game ending 1-1. Best of luck.

West Ham +0 for 4 units at -230. Not great odds, but if West Ham plays as well as they have in recent games they will win. I would bet money line, but cup games are always a little weird and Shrewsbury is second in League One. Shrewsbury have only 6 goals in their last 5 games. West Ham’s defense has looked a lot better lately than it did earlier in the premier league season. Joe Hart could be in goal for West Ham, which would mean something to him as he used to play for Shrewsbury years ago. I think David Moyes will want to prove he has made the Hammers better even on short rest and go for the victory.

Celta Vigo +1.5 for 2 units at -152. I bet Celta against a Messi-less Barcelona side and they tied, but Celta looked like the better side. You know who else won’t have Messi? Real Madrid! All jokes aside, Real Madrid have struggled this season and won’t have some key defenders. Ronaldo has 7 less goals than Iago Aspas does for Celta Vigo. Real Madrid could turn it on here in the new year, but I think Celta Vigo will be up to the task. Daniel Wass and Sisto have been assist/passing masters this season and I expect that to continue.

Real Sociedad +0 for 2 units at -137. It is known that Real Sociedad do not travel all that well, but they actually won their last game at Leganes 2-0. Leganes only have 3 goals in their last 5 La Liga games. Real Sociedad scored 3 goals against Sevilla and their solid defense in their last game. La Real looks like they have figured out their offenses woes they suffered form earlier in the season.

John Wall decided not to play defense on Tyreke Evans on the last 3 possessions to end the game for the Wizards which was an 8 unit swing. Hand down, man down. Wizards had 11 points in the 4th quarter.. until the foul free throws at the end got them up to a whopping 15 points on the quarter.

Celtics ML and Nuggets -5 both for 3 units. Nets Kings fade. Nuggets have been looking better and better of late. Murray has been great this season for the Nuggets. Denver have been solid against the spread lately and Kings are 1-5 in the last 6 against the spread. Celtics stingy defense will be too good for the Nets. I can’t see Brooklyn going on a 3 game win streak. If Brooklyn wins this game, I may double down on them losing their next game against the Raptors. Best of luck.

Lazio ML for 5 units. Lazio travel well and have not lost in 9 of their last 10 on the road. They also do well against relegation candidates having won all their matches against these type of opponents on the road. Spal played well in a 0-0 draw last time out against Lazio, but do not look for them to be able to contain Lazio’s second highest scoring offense in Italy for 180 minutes on the season.

Leicester City ML for 4 units. Vardy vs his former club. Fleetwood town have lost their last 3 home games vs weaker competition.

Leicester City Fleetwood Town over 2.5 for 2 units. Leicester City has been hitting overs at a 70% clip over their last 10 and Fleetwood has one of the worst defenses in League one. These odds seems a little too generous, which scares me. It does not scare me enough to go against the number though. If Leicester does not play Mahrez, Vardy, or Okazaki.. stay away. If two or more of them play, punch it in. This goes for the money line as well. 

Eibar +0.5 for 3 units. Eibar have had a long layoff, but they still have the best form in La Liga over their past 5 games. Yes better then the defending champs. Palmas did play mid week, and looked good in doing so. I think Eibar just has more firepower. This will be an entertaining game. Eibar are actually the underdog even though they are facing a relegation candidate. Eibar also does not travel well. All these things give us better odds for the better team. Take the better odds.

Huddersfield Town +0 for 3 units. Bolton is missing four midfielders.. FOUR. This will be huge, I know Huddersfield does not travel well and Bolton has been in good form. I know Huddersfield may be more concerned with staying the the Premier League than they are with this cup, but I just think they will dominate the midfield. I could see this game being close, then Huddersfield pulling away with strong subs in the second half. Look for former Monaco defender Kongolo to rotate in the starting lineup for Huddersfield.

Chelsea ML for 2 units. Chelsea will most likely field a weak team for their standards, but I still think they pull out a win. They should be able to contain the limited Norwich attack. I like betting Chelsea in these spots because they usually field a young lineup. These young players will want to prove that they should start week in and week out. Hungry Chelsea players equals a win.

9-3 on NBA in 2018 up 10.74 units

Wizards -4 for 4 units. Grizzlies have only beat the Kings and Lakers lately. Kings and Lakers may be the two worst teams in the league. John Wall is still a beast. Grizzlies are 13-23 against the spread this year.

Suns Spurs over 211 for 3 units. Suns have one of the worst defenses in the league and the Spurs have been scoring a little more with Leonard back. The Suns score more with Booker as well, they looked awful when he was out. The Spurs should get over 110 points in this one against the league’s worst defense.

Nuggets -6 for 2 units. Nuggets have only lost 4 home games all year. Jazz have only won 3 games on the road all year. Smacked the Jazz the last time they played at home. The nuggets drafted Donavon Mitchell who is the leader in the rookie of the year running for the Jazz. Nuggets bevy of weapons on offense will be too much for the Jazz to handle.

15-10-1 on NCAAB in 2017 up 5.25 units

5-4 on NCAAB in 2018 up 1.68 units 

Princeton +3 for 3 units. Just think they are a better team than Penn. Princeton has won 8 in a row against them and have been better against the spread all year. Princeton has beat some good teams this year like Southern California and Hawaii. Lafayette is their common opponent and Princeton beat them by 14 and the Quakers only beat them by 5. Take the points in what will most likely be a close game.

College of Charleston -6 for 3 units. Drexel just lost by 20 to UNCW. College of Charleston is just the better team no matter how you look at it. Drexel has a poor defense allowing 77 points a game. Look for a double digit victory.

Oregon -2.5 for 3 units. Kenny Wooten is averaging 3.3 block per game and I think he will be a great counter to Oregon state’s best player Tres Tinkle. Oregon has been inconsistent with their young team, but I think they pull this one out. These teams have similar defenses, but Oregon’s better offense should help them cover the spread. 7-0 in soccer up 10.42 units

Betting against Barcelona and the under is always risky but I liked that spot yesterday and it hit. Pione Sisto is quietly one of the best assist men in La Liga. Sisto’s goal yesterday in La Copa is the type of goal that makes you stop playing FIFA 2018 because it isn’t “real”. Also, Daniel Wass is going to have a great 2018 if yesterday was any indication.

Warriors ML for 4 units. Not going to overthink this one. Warriors will want to avenge the loss they had in the opener. Curry has been red hot of late. The public is all over this one and are pushing the line up, I can’t see the Warriors going 0-2 vs the Rockets, especially when the Rockets don’t have Harden. Also, love that this game is on TNT. I’ve missed Shaq, Charles, and Ernie.

My lean for the Thunder/Clippers game is the Thunder -1 and will play for a unit just because I will be watching. Best of luck.
