Jazz Warriors over 217 for 5 units. Warriors scored 126 points in the first meeting between these two teams. This over under is low because the Jazz try to slow the game down, but that does not really work against the Warriors. Warriors over hit against the Celtics and I think it will hit here too. Steph has been hot lately and the Jazz defense has not been as good as it was last year.

Warriors ML for 4 units at -380. Heavy juice but they won’t lose to the Jazz.

Had a push last time out with Clemson winning by exactly 2. Lot of college basketball tonight and I like a lot of spots. Let’s get back to winning money.

North Carolina -1 for 3 units. Buying a half point here. UNC beat Clemson by 8 earlier in the season. UNC played horrible perimeter defense against North Carolina State and got out-hustled by Virginia Tech in their last two losses. Clemson has lost Donte Grantham and he was one of their few advantages against UNC. I think Roy and his boys will realize they need to play a lot better after losing to their rival from Raleigh. I just can’t see UNC losing 3 in a row. Joel Berry, Luke Maye, Cameron Johnson, and Kenny Williams will do enough for UNC to win this one.

Rhode Island -9 for 2 units. Umass has lost 4 in a row and Rhode Island has won 12 in a row. Rhode Island has one of the more polarizing coaches in college basketball in Dan Hurley. Umass gives up more points than they score – that’s not good. Rhode Island has one of the better defenses in the A-10 and I think they run away with this one after their close win against Duquesne. The Minutemen have been struggling and that is not a good place to be against the best team in the league.

Auburn -4 for 2 units. Auburn is 14-5 against the spread this season, and I still do not think they are getting the respect from Vegas. Auburn just blew out a good LSU team, while Ole Miss lost to Texas. Auburn scores 8 more points a game than Ole Miss and has a better defense. Take the better team. Best of luck.

West Ham +0.5 for 3 units at -170. West Ham has a lot of injury concerns with Winston Reid, Arnautovic, Lanzini, Jose Fonte, Sakho, and others missing this game. I like a home underdog though against a bottom of the table team. West Ham still has some talent with Chicharito, Zabaleta, and Kouyate. Crystal Palace has only 7 goals in 12 away matches on the season. They also only have 6 goals in their last 5 games. Crystal Palace also has many injury concerns. West Ham may be fielding a weaker squad, but I still like them at home.

Liverpool ML for 3 units at -310. Huddersfield have not won any of their last 6 games in the league. Liverpool have struggled in their last two games, but I think they can pull this one out. Huddersfield lost 4-1 against West Ham in their last home premier league game, and Liverpool is a lot better than West Ham. Salah is just too good. Huddersfield does not even score a goal a game and Klopp will want his squad to get a clean sheet. Best of luck.

Real Betis Celta Vigo Over 3 at -116 for 4 units. Betis plays an open brand of football and beat Celta Vigo 2-1 earlier in the year. Celta Vigo are better since then and also play an open brand of football. These two teams are 3rd and 4th in goals scored this year. Betis gives up the 3rd most goals in the league. I could see this game ending 2-2 in an exciting match.

Real Betis +0.5 at +123 for 2 units. Betis lost 5-0 last time out, but it was against Barcelona. Celta have not lost 4 in a row in La Liga, but only one of those was against a top 15 team in La Liga (the struggling Real Madrid was the only top 15 team). Real Betis have the most headed goals in La Liga, while Celta have conceded the most headed goals in the league. I like Real Betis aerial advantage in this one. I fear they could give up goals due to the creative play of Aspas, Wass, and Sisto; however, I like Tello and others to secure some goals for Betis too. Best of luck.

Clemson -2 for 2 units. Clemson is 1-4 in their last 5 against the spread, but I think that changes here. Georgia Tech has been bad this year and their offense will not be able to keep up with Clemson. Clemson had a bad offensive outing last time out, but that was against the best defense in the country (UVA). Aamir Simms will need to step up for Clemson after the injury to Donte Grantham. Clemson rebounds, assists, and defends better than Georgia Tech, so I’ll take the small line on the road. Best of luck.

Ohio State -9 for 2 units. Ohio State is on an 8 game win streak. Penn State is on a two game losing streak. Keita Bates-Diop has been a beast. Ohio State has the older, better team. Penn State is 0-4 against the spread in the last four.

Xavier -6.5 for 2 units. Xavier scores more than Marquette and gives up less points. Xavier has won 3 in a row after getting smacked by ‘Nova. Xavier has a steep rebounding advantage that will help us cover this one. Xavier won this game by 4 on the road earlier this season and are now at home.

Richmond +2 for 2 units. I was making money fading Richmond earlier in the year, but it seems they have turned a corner. This seems like a trap line as the public is with Duquesne. I am fading the public in this one.

Nebraska +2 for 2 units. Nebraska beat Michigan by 20. Rutgers lost to that same Michigan team by 25. Transitive property usually does not work in sports gambling, but that is a steep contrast. Nebraska lost a close game to OSU their last time out. I just think Nebraska is the better team, although I love Corey Sanders of Rutgers.

Miami -4 for 2 units. Miami just has a better defense than Louisville. Hurricanes shot the ball lights out in their last game. 10-19 from deep. I expect that to carry over here as they earn a victory.

Nevada -4 for 2 units. Had this line at -7 by my estimation. Think they are giving Wyoming too much credit at home. Strictly a value play.

Hornets -1 for 8 units. Max play here. Howard is a good counter to the Pelican bigs. Hornets have a .500 record at home. Pelicans have .500 record on the road. Pelicans won a double overtime game against the Bulls last time out. Kemba said all he cares about his winning after the recent trade rumors. Michael Jordan said he would only trade Kemba for an all-star (prolly won’t happen). Pelicans only shot 41% in their win against the Bulls and the Hornets defense has been better. Jeremy Lamb has been great for the Hornets this season. Pelicans do not match up well with Hornets and I love this spot. Pelicans are 1-3-1 in their last 5 games in the state of North Carolina.

Rockets ML at -275 for 8 units. Two max plays in one day after not having any for a long while. Line will get more juicy so get it now. Mavs are 10-15 at home while Rockets are 15-6 away. People are calling this a trap game and I just do not buy that. Houston has not lost a game when Capela, Harden, and Paul all play (18-0).

 

Took a little break from the sports gambling but I am back. Was busy with more important things over the past week, but am back with some winners now.

Lazio ML for 2 units at -185. Lazio has been great at home lately and look to be regaining the solid form they had to start this season. Would play this for more, but it seems Immobile will miss this game. Udinese are unbeaten in their last 7 games and have been playing well on the road in their last 5 games. Given those stats, this line seems a little high. A lot of people will be zigging for the underdog value that is Udinese in this one, but I am going to zag towards the favorite. Udinese have played great since their coaching change, but have not scored in their last 5 vs Lazio.

Chelsea +0.5 for 3 units at -200. I think Chelsea will play a lot better than they did in the first leg. Hazard and Willian should feature and cause problems like they did over this past weekend. Chelsea had 21 goal attempts to 8 for Arsenal in their last meeting.

Chelsea ML for 1 unit at +162. Do not trust Arsenal’s defense to keep Chelsea from scoring for 180 minutes (already held them for 90 in their last game). Both these teams got out of their goal slumps against weak competition over the weekend. Conte’s squad has only lost 1 in their last 8 games at Arsenal.

Goes to Andre Drummond who got snubbed as an all-star in the East. Drummond tweeted out “Guess I gotta start doing back flips after every point I score to get attention around here! Lmao on to the next.” 

Maybe Andre should beat Joel Embiid once this season if he wants to make an all-star team. In all seriousness though, he should have made it over Horford who averages 13/7.8/5 to Drummond’s 14/15/4. Or even made it over Wall who has hardly tried this season as evidenced by this stat from Zach Lowe “He has spent 76.57 percent of floor time either standing still or walking, the largest such share among all rotation players.” Guess who is second in that stat? Dirk Nowitzki. Dirk is more than a decade older and just stands there and shoots 3s and he is second in the league in standing still behind John Wall!!!! Wall hardly plays defense (even in crunch time: for example against the Grizzlies when he just let Tyreke Evans shoot 3s to bring Memphis back into the game). John Wall’s team is also underperforming, while the Pistons (performing about where expected) would be as bad as the Detroit’s NFL team if they did not have Andre Drummond.

At least Drummond will overtake Lillard for the all-star snub meme for a year or more.
